It's not impossible if we win out, but we would need numerous teams to stumble just the right way for that to happen.
how the kentucky fried F is LSU a loss?BAS65 said:

If we won out, and Bama lost one more. Yes, we would absolutely be playing Georgia for a spot in the college football playoffs. The Dirty Sock said:
Nope. Too many top 10 teams ahead of us with easier paths
You just can't help yourself. No game "is a loss". We literally just beat bama, and you are still spewing this crap? You can't even concede that we have chances in these games?BAS65 said:

Exactly. The road game at Ole Miss is our toughest remaining game. By the time we head to Baton Rouge for our season finale, LSU might drop to 4-7 and already eliminated from bowl eligibility. Ticket prices for the Florida vs LSU game on Saturday have dropped below $50. Four of LSU's five next opponents are ranked in the Top 25, including home games against No. 20 Florida, No. 17 Arkansas and No. 21 Texas A&M. Tickets for the Arkansas games are going for as little as $35, while the Thanksgiving weekend contest against Texas A&M is $45.beerad12man said:You just can't help yourself. No game "is a loss". Ole Miss will be very tough, but as of now, we would be favored of LSU.
How you figure we win SEC? I think the idea here is that we make the CFP.Done7 said:
2 loss SEC champ Aggies will get in over undefeated SMU. That is poop slap guaranteed.
Well, we really just need 5 things for it to happen. 2 are very unlikely, but 3 are very likely.92Ag95 said:How you figure we win SEC? I think the idea here is that we make the CFP.Done7 said:

Bama would need to lose again and Arky/Miss St would each need 3 SEC losses.
No ****, place is like a damn zoo around here.Electrical_Ag said:

Maybe I'm just amped from The Pulse but breaking down our schedule I just don't see any losses - that means we make CFP right?
That's a great analysis. I'll take three times out of 100 any day if you give me Jimbo Fisher, a hungry team and a grackle.AggieDub04 said:
This is improbable but not impossible. The first thing is we'd have to do is win the SEC.
Ags must go undefeated the next 6 games - 9.4% chance per ESPN FPI (8% on 538 but part of that simulates if we make the CCG).
Arkansas has to lose one more - 97% chance this happens
Miss State has to lose two - 90% chance this happens
Alabama loses one - ESPN has this at 52% chance but part of that 52% is them losing to Arkansas or Miss St. Assuming they win those two it's a 33% chance they lose a game.
That gives us a 3% chance to make the SEC championship game. Assuming we're playing Georgia we'd be underdogs so put our odds of winning the conference at 1%.
An 11-2 SEC champ with wins of Georgia and Alabama gets in over
- 12-1 Georgia
- A one loss conference champ from ACC, Big 12, or PAC
- A one loss Group of 5 Team
- A one loss Notre Dame or BYU
Barring catastrophe Big 10 gets one in and Cinci goes undefeated. If a Big 12 team goes undefeated (this could come down to Bedlam) they are in. That would leave SEC champ, SEC runner up, PAC champ and ACC champ. Wake Forest is the only potential undefeated from the PAC or ACC.
The two biggest hurdles are the Ags going undefeated and Bama losing so let's focus on Missouri for now.
