I was channel surfing a few minutes ago, only to see "KENS (San Antonio CBS station) removed CBS5". I assume this just happened, otherwise someone would have beat me to the punch by posting. Obviously our game tomorrow is impacted. After further surfing, the Charlotte - FUI is on CBSSN so it may be selective at this point

I don't know how that would work, as I think you need a little box (again, I think) to get Roku.

Anyways ,if you download fubo (even on a free trial basis) you should be able to pick up the game live on CBS.

A friend of mine call yesterday and mentioned that he had lost CBS via Dish.
Seems like some kind of contact dispute.

I had an OTA antenna where we used to live but this house isn't wired for it.


I downloaded the CBS app on my iPad. Looks like that will work. Not as good as my 65" TV, but better than not having fire before the microwave, I.e., listening on the radio.

My folks called me earlier saying they can't get cbs because of some piss ass dish dispute too. Luckily I had them buy Rokus a while back. I'll hook them up with my paramount or fubo credentials. Dish sucks ass anyway.

It's not something your house is wired for, just go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get an antenna and screw it into the back of your tv

Roku won't help you. You still have to get the subscription for Paramount +.

I ended up signing up for paramount + and then I called dish and had them credit 10 bucks for the month while they fiddle F--- around with Tegna.

Yeah, it blows. I have the app to make it work but I don't have broadband internet where I live. To add insult to injury, I have a fiber optic line from AT&T on the pole at my gate. Hahahaha…but there is no broadband available for anyone in the street. Lol.

My internet fm come through an air card which AT&T throttles the ever loving dog **** out of. Not even enough bandwidth to load graphics on the app.

Same here very rural. All we can get is Hughes Net which is a pure joke.

No. the FCC should never get involved again regulating Leftist views. Terrible idea. Ban user. Delete thought.

It's a negotiation. The law gives the network (but not the content provider) the power to demand carriage or to demand carriage fees. Change the law if you don't like it. We first encountered it with Sinclair in the Cedar Rapids area. To be honest: the suggestion to use an antenna is smart. It's the only way to license the content for free.

Call Dish and say you're going to cancel. Then explain it's because you can't watch football or your favorite shows because of the Tegna dispute. Even if you're still within your contract (I still have 19 months left on mine), say you want to cancel. They will eventually set up an appointment to install a free antenna for you. It will connect to your DVR if you have one. They are coming out here next week (4 days after I called). That's too late for our game and the NFL on Sunday, but I'll be at Kyle anyway. They also credited my account for one month of service and gave me free NFL Red Zone.

Great idea. But we live in Texas. There is lots of space and land in Texas. Antennas don't reach.
This has happened 4 years in a row. The consumer or end user is being ripped off and not getting the service they are paying for.

It's not CBS, it's TEGNA that owns many stations. Houston has the same Dish Problem with Channel 11. Glad I'm Going to the Game.

CBS-Sports is still being broadcast. So the issue is NOT CBS. There is probably a CBS Stream that works.

As with all these disputes, IN NO WAY do I want the Govt involved. It would take years and they would need 17 new departments before they do anything. FOLLOW THE MONEY!!!

The CBS channels are gone. I don't give a damn who causes it. This has happened 4 years in a row and always right at football season. Bottom line the consumer/ end user gets screwed.

Well also bc the fcc has nothing to do with cable companies or media operators. This is between tegna and dish or whoever. If this was KENS or another local affiliate doing something illegal that's another story. You guys crying out for government control because something you don't like is happening are hilarious, especially since you can get CBS over the air anyway.

No one is calling for government control. It is saying the consumer is being ripped off and not getting what you pay for. Dish has contracts and is paid to provide a service. Again this is not new as the same issue has happened for the last 4 years and is plumb downright BS.
So I guess if you went to the gas station and paid for 1 gallon of gas but only got 1/2 gallon you would not want the TAC to investigate that?

Dish and CBS have been fighting over price for years in my area. I don't care except for the Aggie FB games. This will be 2nd game that I had to listen on the radio.

So just now realizing that my CBS station on dish is not longer there.. just some shmuck going off about how much $ CBS is trying to charge them.

On CBS which is KHOU out of houston is no longer there

On the guide is says " KHOU removed CBS 11

Mom lives in central TX. KWTX is her local CBS station.
