Question about seating at Kyle

I know when I attended, we weren't that interested in getting to our actual assigned seat, we just made room for others who came in to stand and watch the game ( I know, Old Army is gone). I was wondering the zoo's opinion on seating now. If you have a ticket with your seat printed on it, do you stand on your assigned seat, or on the seat on the row in front of you? I know in the old days we stood on our seat and when we "got off the wood" we stepped down below our seat. What are your opinions? This is for the student section, not other sections in Kyle.

You're expected to stay where your tickets are. There's never quite enough room though, so some people get pushed out or have to stand off the wood. Don't expect people to do you any favors, get there early and claim your space because if the group of 8 beside you gets there first and they stick into your set of seats a little bit, there's nowhere else to go..

People have been even worse this year than in the past, too. Ticket pull is reflective of this. Students don't do the list anymore, but people will just show up at 4am and jump in front of 300 sleeping people "because there was space," and pull for 6 different groups. So no, you're on your own out there.

Edit to add, you stand on the seat in front of your assigned seat. So if you're on row 24, you stand on the row 23 bench and sit on the row 24 bench if you want to get 2 quick minutes of rest after the band marches. This way, row 1 can sit on their seats too.

I'm an old so I have my seats in the zone. I was just wondering about where my kids are standing on the student side. This came up Saturday night and I wanted to get the Zoo's opinion on where to stand, on your seat or on the seat in front of you. Security (who was actually called to the area) did not know.

This is the correct answer to the question OP is asking. EOT.
I'm not sure if people genuinely believe someone is going to say, "Wow, if some people say I'm a moron for not believing this, it clearly must be true."

It's not much a persuasive argument. It really just sounds like a bunch of miniature dachshunds barking because the first one one barked when it thought it heard something.
