The only reason I ever did it was to annoy my older brother as we sat in the stands at AT&T Stadium watching Manziel destroy his Sooners. It has lost that ability, so I don't see ever doing it again.

I've never done it but I will be at the Texas game at Kyle and if things go well for us I couldn't think of a better time for the chant.

Sure... I actually think most of the SEC thinks they are doing us a favor by reinstituting the rivalry game that we are always singing about. Especially considering the Name, Image, and Likeness $$$.

I've personally enjoyed punishing the sips for 10 years, but IF the the Big12 remainder gets paid enough to let the defectors go, THEN I'm ready to say okay, let the current class get a chance to see the big gameday in all its glory including the SEC chant (yeah) or the Poor Aggies chant (hiss).

Right now Texas fans act like they'd never do the chant but it's entirely predictable when it first breaks out. Any home game win against A&M.

I think the same will happen when A&M wins against Texas (albeit saying Texas isn't SEC). I get the ill will towards the conference in the moment, but using it as the measure that Texas falls short of compared to A&M will be too tempting.

In short it's going to be vying SEC chants by a segment of each fanbase following football and possibly basketball games between the two absolutely not rivals regardless of who wins.

Eff everybody. On our own now, kinda like Corregidor and Pointe du Hoc. Where is Ag1944 when you need him, Gig 'em Ags.

I have never done the chant. The only games I have been to the last 10 years are against other SEC teams and it doens't make sense to chant SEC to another SEC team.

This was actually one of the fundamental ways the SEC grew powerful. Not only did you have alumni and fans tuning in for their school but this drove cross pollination.

I was suddenly watching and invested in Kentucky play Louisville. I was watching Florida play Miami. Where previously I would not have tuned in to watch Iowa State play Iowa. Or TCU play SMU.

Moving to only caring about your school and not the conference will decrease value.

This is what this Texas move does. This is the destabilizing and devaluing impact of this decision. Short term financial gains, long term devaluing of the brand/league.

SEC. it just means lies.
