It isn't over until it's over. All this talk about done deals is a lot of bull shark imo. There are a lot moving parts and a lot of numbers being crunched .

I always heard okieLite was tied legislatively to OU, so has something changed? or this is not the case?
I heard that was due to David Boren plus Boone Pickens isn't around any longer.

That's not nearly as important as it was since the SEC will usually have four or five teams in the playoffs.

Nope.

There can only be one potentially undefeated team in the SEC. And there can only be, at most, a couple of one loss teams.

Just like we see now, the SEC has the best conference and the most good teams.

Watering down the conference just means fewer teams have a chance to make the playoffs, even if it's expanded, which is the situation we have now. It's why we see the SEC typically beating up on each other and then dominating bowl season.

Teams from other conferences and Independents who have any easier schedule will have better records and an legitimate argument to be in the playoffs over two and three loss SEC teams.

Adding two strong programs only lessens the chances for SEC teams.

There is something more going on here.

If it's merely money, I'm disappointed.

If it's some very major conference and FBS changes, then that may be different.
