The SEC won't ever be the same if they let the sips in the conference. They never want to be just another conference member, they will want to run the conference just like the SWC and the Big12.

My prediction: they get relegated to the SEC-B League within the next 20 years.

I was talking to a t sip at church this morning and he said, "you'll never hear a longhorn doing the SEC chant. Cheering for a conference is stupid". I just walked off thinking the SEC has no idea what they are going to be dealing with.

Sark? He might prove me wrong but his coaching history indicates he doesn't do well when in a high stress position without a strict discipline imposed by someone like Saban.sonnysixkiller said:
Just consider for a moment what if they have hired the wrong coach again.

Talk about taking a flyer like they did with Strong*. The Herman hire I could understand even if he was an very odd duck.
*Strong was just a hire in reaction to Sumlin's early success at A&M. Guy was about as intelligible as Coach Yaw-Yaw.I read his deposition in the lawsuit that he caused by his hiring process that was not overseen by the legal team.
Not a poop slap bet there because I already said he might prove me wrong.Quote:
This guy is the real deal not like the idiots they hired before, and his communication ability scares me because he's not an idiot. This won't be a 20 year coach that they make statues of, his tenure won't last nearly that long - but his departure will be due to an offer from the actual NFL not the ncaanfl-lite. Just listening to the idiot mensa wannabees they had before and comparing that with what this guy is saying, it is going to be a different next 5 years.

Just wait until they play a SEC schedule.txag1994 said:

We can say the SEC chant because they won't.BadAggie said:
Would it be poor form to do the SEC chant when beating a team that's technically part of the conference?

And if a better situation comes along they will bolt the conference or help kill it to make a super conference.
The smaller sec schools better watch out. They are hugging a viper.
