Dennis Dodd laid out the structure this way: The Longhorns and Sooners would receive an additional half-share annually (1.5 shares each), bumping their payouts to approximately $56 million per year. The other eight schools would decrease their payouts accordingly. Big 12 schools currently average $37 million in annual TV rights earnings, including revenue from bowl games and the NCAA Tournament.

So for both, still less than what the SEC is projecting to pay in a few years.

For tu, less humiliating losses while they continue to play 500 ball.

For boomer, they could continue to have humiliating NC playoff blowouts

But how will the Big 12 deal with the SEC recruiting advantage OU/tu are so concerned with? Fat Ketch says all the cool kids say they want to play in the cool conference the SEC. That is why they are so giddy.

Those projections are lies.

And unequal distribution will come to the SEC if they get in and demand the same. Watch.

This is 100% over. The old B12 should be focusing on squeezing every penny out of tu and OU for leaving the conference before the contract is up. At least that strategy comes across as petty and not embarrassing.

It's really the only offer they can make as a collective. Each school independently is figuring out their own end game.

I mean, it's their only shot. All the leftovers are screwed.

I could see the Pac12 maybe taking Tech to get a partial Tx market.

But almost all the other schools are staring into oblivion.

I'm still sorta surprised the Okie legislature is gonna let OSU get screwed.

ACC is looking at some if not all of the leftovers. Reports are the ACC is going after them aggressively to expand.

I think the big12 eventually offers tu and ou double shares to quit looking until gor expires. That still is more than schools will get if it dissolves in two years.
