I've gone through all the stages of grief and hit acceptance and now I'm beyond that. I am legitimately pumped up to see Jimbo wipe the floor with Texas every year.

I can't wait to see that first game in person.

So, our BoR should kick the SEC director's asses? Seems like a solid way to spend the night in jail, but sure let's see what happens. Could be a party.

The worst part of this is that we will lose our built-in recruiting advantage as the only SEC school in Texas. The NIL, transfer protocols, and the addition of two SEC schools will make it even more difficult to recruit 4 and 5 star players and retain them. Colorado and Nebraska left the Big 12 for the Pac 12 and Big 10 respectively in 2011. Then, Texas A&M and Missouri left the Big 12 for the SEC. All 4 schools were tired of being bullied by Texas. That's why there has been a massive meltdown on the internet.

The only ones on this thread that seem to be weak little *****s with evidently a need to be approved by their texas u friends are the ones that are calling out all of us that are pissed about it.

Are you too weak to stand up to backhanded, backroom dealing, and outright dishonesty. Are your afraid to call out the antics of SEC Stanky aloing w/ the sips and land thieves negotiating this w/o any input from A&M, or even A&M being given notice of the negotiations? A&M who is a conference member?

Especially after they, tu, after their antics when we left the Big 12 (tu: "we'd never stoop so low as to join the SEC, their academics just do not pass our test.); after all that, we just let them come in to inevitably poison and F up the conference we joined to escape their underhanded dealings.

Joining the SEC was the right move for multiple reasons. It gave us an advantage in recruiting and national exposure. We made more money playing better games and separated from Austin. Meanwhile, the sips have been floundering in the big12 and it was their own doing. It was glorious.
Wanting to keep these advantages is what most people care about. Believing that each institution would adhere to an understanding is also what we care about. A little extra money isn't worth losing our advantages, especially if we are the only school getting a roommate!!!

I am with the OP. I had a son graduate from A&M in the 90's. One thing I have noticed is that in general Aggies don't take change well.

I'm just here for the meltdown, & have not been disappointed by either point of view.

Agreed. Look, if atm can get the starting qb a million dollars a year. Or what have you. And compete with Texas and Alabama on the money front, then atm will continue to get recruits.

It's about eyeballs on players and starters. Not all around recruiting. In other words, I think the benches of these schools get weaker because there is so much money in it at the starter position
