I think the Clemson, super conference talk is bs, designed to make the tu ou deal slide thru easier. Clemson won't leave the ACC, and absolutely no way Michigan and Ohio St leave the Big10, etc.
But at what point do we start talking about jettisoning Ark, Miss St, Ol Miss, Kentucky, SC, Vandy from the expanding SEC conference. How many votes does that take? Lol! Do those schools think an expanded super conference will carry them? They don't have the budgets or fan bases to belong in the same group as tu, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, tu, A&M, penn st, Norte dame, Ohio st, Mich., etc... if not for the largest, richest schools of the SEC, those 7 schools would be like Texas Tech and the other have-nots of the Big12 that are being left.
Again, why should the large SEC schools or a super conference carry those 7 schools? Just because they had the good fortune to be in the SEC originally? That's why I think by agreeing to tu and ou, those 7 schools could be helping write their own ticket off the gravy train.... who wants to watch Vandy vs sc in football?
