No man. I'm repeating myself here, but
They're going to keep on expanding until they become so large we're going to have to divide ourselves up by regions, SEC, ACC, SWC, and so on.

The goal is clearly to sneak **** ou and tu in to the conference.
Then all of a sudden you have 2 more votes to add these other teams, and it won't matter if we join with SC and Florida and Missouri anymore. They'll all be outvoted. Snakey Texas modus operandi.
this is what they want. For sure.No Spin Ag said:
The SEC will never lose a championship again, because nearly every team that goes to it will be in the SEC. Great strategy to monopolize college football championships.

This the only reason you go to super conferences is to bypass the ncaa. I'm not keen at all on ut and ou in the sec but if it is part of a bigger plan to create a 24 team super conference sans the ncaa with the best from Texas to the Atlantic, I can get on board with that.Tex117 said:AGinHI said:

Divisions maybe. We are rushing towards breaking from the ncaa
Doubtful. No way member schools weren't informed. Only issue is the leadership of certain schools not passing along that info.ChessieHuntingAg said:
If true, classical negotiation tactic. I would assume it went something like this:
SEC: hey A&M, we are thinking of expanding! What do you think about OSU, MU, FlaSt, and Clemson?
A&M: sounds good to us. Not tu though, right?
SEC: no way man, not tu. But hey, dont tell Florida or USC.
And the same was said to Florida and USC, and thats how "Saying A&M was kept in the dark on this is 100% false"
Already in the works.Dominion Caracas Branch said:This the only reason you go to super conferences is to bypass the ncaa. If espn wants a super conference with the best of the acc and big12, along with sec, they can make it go away. They own the acc like they own the sec. And I could totally see espn wanting a college football (and sports) super league with the best of what they currently have in the big12, acc, and sec without the ncaa involved.Quote:
I think we are about to find out how enforceable these GOR agreements are soon. ACC has a particularly strong and nasty one. They also have proven themselves to be very litigious when their conference is being poached.
We maybe seeing the first domino falling in that plan. Maybe that is what Sankey is shooting for not to head a SEC with ou/tu added but a true super league from Texas to the Atlantic.Quote:

From the ACC, which schools would be "the best"? Clemson, FSU, North Carolina? Miami? Notre Dame, of course.Dominion Caracas Branch said:If espn wants a super conference with the best of the acc and big12, along with sec, they can make it go away. They are. Majority of players are not students anyways. My Name Is Judge said:
This is becoming a total ****show
Just start a minor league for football already
In that case I want OU/tu in the Aggie pod. That makes regional sense, and I would enjoy BTHO Bevo every year.Dominion Caracas Branch said:This the only reason you go to super conferences is to bypass the ncaa. Grab ND, Clemson, Miami, and unc/fsu and adding Texas will burn less
