If this really happens but tu and ou don't officially join until 2025, that could help Aggie recruiting in the near term. If I'm a stud player, I'm thinking NFL in 3 years, and no longer can ether tu or ou say anything bad about the SEC. Moreover, if I chose to go to either tu or ou, I would be playing in a lame duck, dying conference for the next 2 or 3 years ... so this realignment should actually help A&M recruiting in the near term. Thoughts?

Just stfu about recruiting. All they care about is the money. School / conference doesn't mean **** anymore. It's whoever can get them the best media exposure so they can get their endorsements. Have fun watching the NFL 2.0

At least the NFL has an orderly draft system to pick players.

NCAA $ recruiting will now go to the riches.

The one with the most money to throw around in the SEC will recruit the top talent going forward.

It will be the mighty $$$$$ that will create the new winning traditions.

Just wait until NFL teams start joining the SEC, who could top a recruiting pitch of immediately going pro?

Have enjoyed reading post last few days and seems you Ags are in the Bargaining phase. Here's why you will not get much sympathy from fellow conference fans,
Let's take Bama. My team. Within a 300 mile radius of Tuscaloosa, Bama recruits against:
-auburn, Ole miss, MSU, Tennessee, FSU, Georgia, Vanderbilt( ok forget them), Georgia tech, LSU.

Who is within 300 miles of College Station?
- Texas, Tcu, Baylor, UTSA, LSU, ARKY, OU, NORTH TEXAS, SAM HOUSTON STATE, UOF H, RICE

- population in that radius?
Bama-whole state 5million
Panhandle Florida. 2-3 million
Tennessee4-6 million
Georgia whole state 12 million
Mississippi 3 million
Louisiana 6 million
Total. And I'm guessing here 35 million.

- population Aggie.?
Texas. Whole state 30 million
Oklahoma 5 million
Louisiana 6 million
Arkansas 4 million
Total. 45 million Guessing as well

Point? Bama has always depended on having best recruiters and coaching to etc recruits away from Free shoes u, Georgia, auburn etc. some years we do, other not so good. I remember the kick six auburn game a few years ago that ripped Bama's guts out. Was I upset? You bet. Did I pout for a week, you bet. Did we kick their arse the next year? YOU BET!!!!

This is happening for reasons none of us can control. Be the ones to put up billboards in Austin welcoming the Horns. " Welcome little bros to the SEC!" Show some humor and keep all this in perspective.

Sankey is not screwing you! He's giving you back and Texas as well, your traditions and rivalry.

I think you should embrace and take this fight to the 50 yard line!

See you all October 9th! Perhaps you can take it out on us lowly gumps

It's not about recruiting. tu's 2021 home schedule is

LA Lafayette
Rice
Texas Tech
Oklahoma State
Kansas
Kansas State

That program was literally on life support and y'all had to let them up to get some air.

We hate that school and program so much they deserve nothing but the worst.

Look at the results 'today'....NIL partially wrecking (hard to compete w Oregon and NIKE NIL vs local RE company) or national recog. Think we've lost prospects to Oregon already.

Some whispers are that Sark took tu job knowing SEC was in play and has been telling recruits that they'll be SEC bound already. Think tu has more highly rated 'verbals' at the moment. Where Jimbo has to earn his salary (vs. posters worrying about it as have no control).

If I'm understanding you correctly here, you are stating Alabama has much tougher competition in recruiting? Is that correct?

And then it is coaching staff that has made you successful.

Am I understanding your argument correctly?

And joining the SEC will give Texas and Oklahoma more dollars to buy recruits. They get the SEC recruiting advantage and more money for buying recruits. It's a win/win for them and a lose/lose for A&M. South Carolina, Florida, Georgia and even LSU should take notice that what happens in Texas could also happen in those states plus Louisiana as well.

Tx already recruits well, as do we. If we're producing on the field, we'll be fine.

This only happens if the Little 8 don't stick together long enough to take OU and tu's money down with them. Those schools can work on conference deals on the side for 2025 and hold OU/tu hostage until then as a big "F U"

This is the ideal situation for us. The Little 8 turn OU and tu into lame ducks for 4 seasons, which sets them back significantly in recruiting.
