Jimbo's last 3 seasons have shown nothing but promise and growth. I've seen enough. Sumlin was on his way to being exposed as a fraud over his first 3 years. Lock jimbo in for years as soon as the move is official.

The recruiting strategy we need is to beat Bama this year and then avoid the crash and burn that LSU had they year after they did that. Jimbo being the first assistant to beat Saban will leave a recruiting mark that won't be wiped away by money.

Yes, it will definitely suck losing our main advantage, but the only way A&M can continue to recruit well is by showing recruits that you can win here and that is happening as we speak.

Which would do more if the school was in a city kids want to live in where they can have fun with all of their newfound riches thanks to getting paid.

One of nephews had a choice between tu and A&M. After visiting both campuses he liked Austin better. He wound up going to College Station was because he got a full scholarship. Had tu given him the same, he'd have gone to Austin. Players won't have his dilemma.

Austin isn't a college town, believe it or not some people like rural settings more than urban

TAMU needs to recruit as a whole experience and a path to a better life for student athletes. We can do better in my opinion on recruiting. I am concerned about women's BB, softball, etc. Even in track we need to improve. We have too much opportunity for student athletes who really want to be true graduates. Some can go pro and do well but most will be employees of various companies.

The entire BCS area needs to be part of this as well. R&D growthand attracting good businesses to BCS has not been well managed. We need to do a better job attracting light manufacturing, hi tech, and other businesses that complete the whole program.
