I think what rubs people the wrong way is they put this narrative out that it's all being done with us left in the dark.
IF thats true, then thats bad. If its NOT true, then we need to call them on their bs publicly. If we decide we are ok with them admitting they were wrong, and joining the SEC AND that makes us a ton more money, say it.

Has the SEC raised it standards or performance? These are rhetorical questions because I know the answer and so do you. I know that the entry of tu and OU are foregone conclusions. I would insist that tu give up ESPN and the longhorn network. they are counter to the SEC network, and something that pissed us off and will piss others off, if they are paying attention

I agree overall. I am POd about it, would prefer it to not happen, but it's not such a big deal as to be going crazy and acting like it is our downfall and will be relegated to irrelevance.

Some here are acting like this is going to make us like Pig or Texas Tech or Southern Miss, irrelevant and an also-ran. That is simply not going to happen. That ship has sailed. We are now a premiere program in the SEC and will continue to be, at least as long as Jimbo is here IMHO. Auburn sits rights between Bama, UGA, FL, and FSU. They compete and compete well, and so will we continue to do so.

I undersand being POd, upset, not liking it, etc. But how would UGA react if FSU and Clemson were joining? How would FL react if FSU and Miami were joinnig? They may not like it, but they wouldn't be acting like it was the deathknell of their program, recruiting will fall off, they will never win again, etc., etc., etc.

The silver lining is that our immediate recruiting rivals, while they will also have the SEC patch on their jersey, they will be on a level playing field with us. How many of those OU CFP teams would have made the CFP if they had played our schedule, maybe one. How many of the very average cow seasons would have been losing seasons if they played our schedule, several of them. Granted, they will get a bump and some more $$ like we did when we joined the SEC, but they are not joining the SEC and then playing a little 12 schedule. cow needs all the bump they can get, they have a losing record vs. TCU in the Big 12. Come on, you are afraid of that?

I would be much more concerned if we didn;t have Jimbo, but we do for 7 more years and hopefully 5 more after that. He always recruits at an elite level. If t.u. and OU join that makes our sked easier, further if CFP expands, that is a double-bonus.

I will miss playing Bama and Auburn every year, and never wanted to play t.u. again except in a bowl game. But this can be a positive and further strengthen our program. It is also affirmaion of our decision, as well as, whether they will admit it or not, a public realization and reaction to our program surassing and lapping t.u. and they need to do this to stay relevant and keep up with aTm.

It is going to be a humbling experience for t.u. on the field and in the meeting rooms. As for aTm, we control 100% our destiny, trajectory, and competitiveness. UGA and FL would shrug it off, and we should to, no matter how POd we may be about it.

Yes, we are angry about about t.u. joining but what makes us angrier is the way it was done with meetings and negotiations behind our back, keeping us in the dark, by a conference that supposedly prides itself that ALL of its members are equal partners with a one for all all for one unity.

Nothing baby about inviting Florida st, Miami, clemson, ND, oh st, arky, uh, mizz, and Mich and all them to go to big12 and making our own super conference!

I don't think many are versus mocking tu for following their "little brother" to save their program. This is the United States and money conquers all even in corrupt Family courts. SEC agreement should be if adding two take one from Texas and one from either Florida or South Carolina/Gerogia area. Not gonna happen cuz ACC isn't a complete ****hole.

2021 tu is a group of dildo waiving woke betas. Not the same as 1965 tu. They could not beat B12 teams. Nothing to fear here.

We were so close. 9-1 and the only SEC school in Texas with tu about 10-15 years from NEVER being able to recover and here we are. Lifeline in play and we have our own calling this a great thing. Well. On a positive note, we are quite used to it and should not surprise a soul.

You really think Aggies don't pay and are limited to money only from College Station? I believe A&M is well positioned to money whip as anyone.

This is a way to get even more $$$$. Initially thought it was bs, but I do like this move. With our recruiting, etc. it makes our path to a championship easier.

Personally would like to see Bama and the Sips become cross divisional opponents. Bama beating them down for the next few years wit a huge tv audience.

The gentlemen's agreement would be followed if t were a Florida or Georgia getting hosed against their wishes.

We were new-guyed. IOW, SEC considers us expendable. And if that's the case, every conference member not named Bama, Georgia or Florida are also expendable. And yes, that includes LSU as an expendable, too.

OP likes going to car dealerships and being told that the car he wants will cost X and then when he gets to the finance manager, he finds out it's really X + Y and not only does he not put up a fight, rather he thanks the dealership and shady sales guy for screwing him over.
