I can't correct the title to " If the B10 Expands". Sorry

What are the zoo' thoughts on joining the B10 if they decide to expand? In the past, B10 only admitted AAU members. Nebraska was aA AAU member when admitted, but lost it later. Probably one of the reasons they are not treated well by the B10.

OU and Notre Dame are not an AAU members. There are very few big time college football teams with AAU membership. The B10 gets invited to the Championship games. The B10 members make more money than the SEC. t's an easier path to the playoffs and best of all, would not be associated with tu.

Is it time to consider a change in conferences?

ND may not be aau but the B1G would take them in a nanosecond.

No.

We'll stay here where 7 of the top 10 largest athletic budgets are.

We're in the big-boy league. We're not jumping to anything lesser. And anything not SEC is lesser.

If the moneys right or better it should be at minimum taken seriously as negotiating leverage for whatever shenanigans come down the pike...

ND has better academic prestige than most of the other so called big10 AAU schools

Wanna be the best...play the best! Stay where we are, put our head down and just win. Might never get the chance but if we do stick it all the haters, because I'm petty like that.

Filter all the noise and this comes into clear focus, just f'ing win, that will take care of everything!!

As tu always does, they erode the trust between their conference members. Arkansas, Missouri amd A&M we're kept in the dark about the OU and tu request until the negotiations were far down the line. Gentlemen's agreements were broken. The tu cesspool has already become infected. Tu operates in tu's interest, not the conference's. Maybe Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and LSU think they can handle them. I hope they are right if the SEC does invite them in. However, it is not starting out on a positive note.

AAU membership is overrated. These schools get off just as much on US News Rankings, flagship status of the school (if public) and how "blueblood" are some of their athletic programs.

Kansas is the logical add for Big 10, even though they have horrible football (just like many peers in conference anyway). ND is also if they would say yes.

Stop with this stupid ***** The Big 10 would be a ridiculous option. We're stuck in the SEC - there is no other rational destination for the time being. Focus on getting revenge.

Yeah but the B1G is half made up of public ivies and a private school in the top 5 of most fields.

They are not going to take anything leftover in the XII because they do not need to. Unless said school adds another billion dollars in research to the pot.

We should be actively negotiating with the big 10 & ACC

We have a lot to offer & shouldn't put up w being bent over the way we were

There is a reason the horns and OU are joining the SEC and not the ACC or B1G. We are in the best conference already.

This. The AAU talk is silly. Michigan and Wisconsin voted to remove Nebraska's AAU status right after they added them. The college football money arms-race is what's driving this, not AAU status. If it makes them more money, they'll add the schools and gladly overlook AAU membership. Just like how they changed all the rules for OSU last year.

I do not see how this changes what they want.

They added two Tier 1 research schools after that slight miss

They are not going to pick up most of the teams trying to beg in the door

Why would they do that. They have a large multi billion dollar alliance on the line bigger than any sports

Money. If they make them money, they get in. If they don't, they're left out.

The midwest is the only region where college football comes close to being as popular as it is in the south. They're not going to want to fall behind the SEC in the new NIL era.

I'm sure our players would be absolutely thrilled to play football outside in Michigan and Wisconsin anytime after October. Just think of the recruiting pitch!
