It seems like Looch and others are just telling us to bend over and take it. Did the A&M administration tell them to just acquiesce so that we all just get back in line?

I'm all ears on alternatives to bending over and taking it.

This site has a lot of power in its ability to form action. It would not surprise me if that happened. It also would not surprise me if it is just done and there was nothing that could realistically be done

Billy always goes to the positives. He went positive when we were going to the Pac 10. He was positive when we stuck to the Big 12. Some people accuse him of being a schill, but I think he just tends to naturally see the good in things. Plus I really don't think it hurts us. I think we should try to get Texas back on the schedule as soon as possible if it is inevitable because the fact is we are a lot better than they are now and in the immediate future.

If we had any other coach I might agree. Jimbo can recruit , whether its in Tallahassee or College Station.

I don't quite see it as fun when each loss to them will politicized both internally in Austin and by national media. Plus we'll lose recruits in a field where we've made some major gains and improvements.

Technically it is Disney.

Too many factors to fight.
1. ESPN wanting to kill LHN
2. tu is a storied program with too much love to have such a crappy schedule.
3. Like it or not, tu vs Ags is good for football and the state.
4. Too much money to be made for SEC.
5. I'm guessing there is more to CFB future not out in the open. Too many things changing.
6. Even with 4 super conferences, SEC will be the most desireable and the toughest.

Personally, if the SEC keeps tu in check, I'm okay with it. I don't love it, but it was inevitable IMO.

If tu wants in the SEC, they will get into the SEC. tu gets what it wants. That is a fact of life, and a fact that we will always have to deal with.

Out best hope at this point is to be grouped with LSU, Ole Miss and MSU.

I've had a couple of posts just disappear. Just guessing but I suspect that Lucci is in favor of this change.

I've already made my insignificant opinion known to the powers at A&M.

The real power is ESPN, Disney. tu admin may have not wanted to go to the SEC but the real power makes the decisions. This is only about money, not conference brotherhood or conference fit.

Q: Will the SEC rules committee ban the horns down gesture?

Sure, our recruiting is going to take a slight hit since we can't claim to be the only school in Texas that is in the SEC but we're not all of a sudden gonna recruit at a Mississippi State level.

We got Jimbo. We got the facilities. We got the money.

If our own Admin backstabbed us, then we need to make sure that every last one of them gets fired or removed. We do not need an Admin that works against the school.
