Frankly, I'm tired of reading on here that everyone is so thankful that we have Jimbo if TU and OU do in fact join the SEC.
I do not want to diminish the fact that we should be thankful that we have him at the helm if they do join the SEC. However, this will be a 100 year decision 2.0. I get that in the short term having Jimbo as our HC is clearly an advantage. Fast Forward 25-30 years and remove Jimbo from the equation. Them being in the same conference will drastically hinder us. Assume our next coach is a Jimbo type and we don't make the right coaching hire, that's just enough to let the tides change and we're back in a little brother role again.
