Texas joining the SEC is objectively bad for a&m when it comes to recruiting. It takes away our one true competitive advantage of being the only texas school in the SEC.

The biggest issue is that recruiting territory just got divided. Yes, it's always been TECHNICALLY divided, but the truth is there was an advantage in the sense that we had SEC membership.

Reason this isn't going to happen - no way are they joining a more competitive conference. They are very much oriented around being the big fish in a small pond. This is all about throwing their weight around in the Big XII-II+II.

A&M 1st claimed they weren't told. Bohls has confirmed it. That puts a whole new dynamuc on this. If true, A&M has some tough decisions to make.

I do not see this as an issue. OU and the Sips have a lot of catching up to do. With Jimbo at the helm we will be fine.

This conference will feature the highest priced players from all over the country and we can push it down to recruiting the advanced 1st through 3rd graders since we can't stop at just 7th and 8th grade football indulgences. Knowing that 5star recruits will be able to charge "potential revenue screwup fees" to the other 4 and 3 star kids so they can level the recruiting field and hence have larger NIL contract offers if the 3 and 4 stars move up in rankings due to the occassional fumble or interception, the conversion of athletics to play for pay will be complete throughout our society. This means when tu and blowu take our recruits like they did before we made our 10 year decision, we can at least recoupe lots of revenue to put another coat of paint on Johnny's statue when the birds have crapped on his tattoos too much and obscured them, including the 'whorn tat he has.....

You are not seeing the bigger picture. I think A&M leaked the story of tu/OU to the SEC to poke them in the eye and potentially stop it. tu coming back and saying we were (allegedly) in the dark is them responding.

When the "who knew and when did they know" questions are answered truthfully there will be plenty of ridiculousness to go around.
