I for one don't see much upside to having tu in our conference at this point. It's a huge recruiting advantage and differentiator over them to be the only school in Texas in the SEC. I would imagine Mizzou, Arky, LSU wouldn't want to lose any SEC recruiting advantage either.

That said, I fear the TX legislature will threaten to cut funding if A&M votes no. I can see tu lobbying for this trying to force our hand.

No. Huge Baylor contingent in the lege.

It doesn't matter what A&M votes, if enough other schools are on board.

However, we don't have to worry about leg politics but tu might due to basically destroying the hopes of the big12 tx schools and same with ou and okstate.

This baylor and tech are not dumb enough to believe they can stay at p5 level without those 2. They will fight. I don't know if it will work but this isn't like when we left because there will be no viable p5 version of big12 (it is barely viable now) left if ou and tu leave.

How did their last lawsuit to keep A&M in the B12 go? I imagine this one would have similar results.
