My understanding is that this has always been simply a gentlemen's agreement...nothing written into the bylaws or anything like that.Gigem_94 said:
I believe we have the right to veto the tsips (like Florida can veto FSU and Miami ; USC can veto Clemson; etc).
That's not true but the SEC has a history of only allowing teams in by unanimous consensus even though only 3/4 approving is in the bylaws. A&M, Missouri, Arkansas, LSU, Florida, and South Carolina are probably hard "NOs."sawemoff2010 said:
A&M-leaning Texas legislators should absolutely ally with Baylor/TCU/Tech leaning legislators to aim to block this move. This would be devastating to those poor schools...
I'm told Texas A&M and Missouri would be a hard no. Only 2 more needed to block an invitation to Texas, OU.

I know he's just doing his job but I wouldn't care if we blackball him.Shoefly! said:
Brent Z is laughing his azz off. Releasing this about the same time Jimbo is speaking. Something like this happened the day we played North Carolina last bowl game. Predictable!

Tiger droppings seems unanimously onboard with letting them in.

With the $$$ involved, don't you think that people that could affect this and have the ability to block it, would be bought off in a heartbeat. It would be done, and written off as the cost of doing business.
We're screwed. A&M will be the only NO, cause Bjork and others like their jobs and that's the only reason.
ETA: After a couple years of a good look at what having that scum t.u. brings, along with the media bias, and he's GONE.
We will be Vanderbilt.
