I always wondered why we did not add suites on the east side between the second and third decks.

THAT, is a great question; if premium seating is the big money maker, it seems like a chance blown

Cannot consider closing in any more of the stadium. It's too hot as it is.

Several schools (Auburn, for one) with enclosed stadiums in the south are having problems keeping the grass alive in the heat of summer.

Huh? Jordan-Hare is more open than Kyle. They don't have 3rd deck seating on both endzones like Kyle.

I'm not a structural engineer, but I wonder if the current structure of the stadium would have allowed added steel/support to do this without basically having to demo the entire east side and start over.

I'm sure that and the $450 mil that was being spent on everything else already may have played into this (if it was ever even discussed or considered).

Wasn't that th we ole miss game that start was delayed a couple of hours for lightning?

No that was the first game of the season for 2014. Remember it vividly as I was sitting in third deck and they told us to just chill in our seats

I doubt we will ever add more seats to Kyle Field. UT announced a major renovation to Neyland Stadium which will reduce seating and replace the south upper deck with a party plaza. I don't see us doing anything in the next five years, at least.

I always wondered why we did not add suites on the east side between the second and third decks.
The plans from the architecture team - was it "Populus?" I can't remember the name - had future expansion of up to something like 111,000+ish. I believe we will do that at some point, but not for 20 years or so, if not longer.
