The current attendance record for Kyle field is 110,633 from the Ole Miss game in 2014.

If us and Alabama are both undefeated and presumably both ranked in the top 5 at the time, do you think the Bama game will set a new attendance record?

If so how high do you think we can get?

The current capacity record for a college football game is Notre Dame at Michigan in 2013 with 115,109 people in attendance.

Thanks sumlin for making it really quiet really fast for that game.

6-700,000 midgets can fit into Kyle stacked 3 high. Buddy of mine wrote his thesis on this!

I don't think we could get close to that. I seem to remember around that Ole Miss game someone said b/c of the franken-stadium set up we had that year, it would be a one-time thing.

I would imagine we could get close to 105K, MAYBE 106K. But personally think that Ole Miss capacity record will stand until we expand the stadium.

The funny thing is that the south upper deck was not full. That was the quietest 110,000 people I have ever been around in my life. All I kept hearing was that damn Ole Miss hoddy toddy nonsense all night.

I doubt that record will ever be broken as the west side rebuild has fewer seats than the 2014 version. .

Are you possible thinking of 2016 when we made Shea Patterson look like Lamar Jackson? That was pretty quiet also

I just hope fans get excited and show up. We already know 25,000 can sound like 100,000. At least according yo Dan Mullins.

I wonder what Kyle sounds like when we show the CCG by closed circuit and we are winning? Let's find out!!!

Its not possible. 2014 was the year we had the old west side with a majority bleacher seating and less suites. It wasn't the most comfortable for everyone but you could fit more people. With the new west side, capacity was reduced thanks to chair back seating and more club seating and suites being part of the setup. I don't see how you could fit another 8,000 into the stadium especially now that we can no longer squeeze track level seating in like we did prior to 2014.

I hate to admit I was there for both of those train wrecks. In the 2016 game I think ole Miss ran only two plays but we couldn't stop Paterson. It appears that Ohio State figured out how to stop him.

Unfortunately, we'd get the real Lamar Jackson a couple of years later.

Don't you know we're going to put a roof over it then put seats up there looking straight down at the field.

Zip line seatsrotate in and out from JerryWorld-style SRO overflow tickets. With crowd noise piped in using Atmos-style theater sound fields from above.

Since attendance is PAID attendance plus staff and not ACTUAL attendance, I guess you could sell some kind of virtual ticket that had a theoretical seat and count that. But seriously...attendance based on tickets-sold instead of people in the stadium is some serious trophy-generation bs.

This is correct.

We should close in the corners and add another Jimbotron to the North end!

Cannot consider closing in any more of the stadium. It's too hot as it is.

Several schools (Auburn, for one) with enclosed stadiums in the south are having problems keeping the grass alive in the heat of summer.

I doubt we will ever add more seats to Kyle Field. UT announced a major renovation to Neyland Stadium which will reduce seating and replace the south upper deck with a party plaza. I don't see us doing anything in the next five years, at least.

I always wondered why we did not add suites on the east side between the second and third decks.

It's too big as redesigned...You're not gonna fill it up more than once (maybe) a year, the uppers in North and South are never full.

You missed the point. Do you want to spend the afternoon in an environment that kills southern grasses in the heat? Can you imagine playing football there?
