I don't know that he is not a great person, there are quite a few things that have happened that may suggest this, but most of this I agree with.34blast said:

Looking at hype vs. results (during and after his time here), hard to think of a more over-rated Aggie coach.
Jim Turner was simply retained because Jimbo wasn't able to get his guy (Henson) when he wanted him.
I can't speak to Turners character but the film speaks for itself. Our OL technique improved 10 fold in 2 years. We are picking up blitzes turners OL didn't even know existed.

Thanksgiving dinner at the Sherman's is going to be a bit awkward for few years. If I were cousin Jimmy, I would be appreciative of my 10+ years of mid-six figure salaries and pass the gravy.
If nothing else, Jimbo is loyal to his assistants. No way Turner comes back if there wasn't already an opening.
Most overrated coach in A&M history. Used Sherman trained OLs to make his name.

Turner is a good OL coach, but we already have a good one.
I just hope he doesn't end up in dildoland. They are looking to hire one, and Turner would be an excellent hire for them. We need them to botch their ~5th OL hiring decision in a row.
