Me and my roommates are thinking about making the trip to Knoxville from College Station. Is anybody else making the trip from college station? We haven't bought tickets yet or have anywhere to stay we are going on the fly! Anybody know of a good place for college kids to stay or how the night life is in the town?

Can't go wrong with the square meat! They don't cut corners over there!

This is why college is the best time of your life. I remember many spontaneous road trips and they were always worth it, regardless of the outcome of the game. Have fun!

I stopped right there. You're a college student. Grammar, please.

I have 4 tickets available in Y10 row 54 at $120 a piece if you're interested. Plenty of hotels in Knoxville have room, suggest staying in Old City or off Cumberland

These are not normal times. Hotels are cheap and plentiful, as are tickets (postponement screwed up a lot of folks plans and Tennessee fans are pretty discouraged). While it won't be the normal experience, I think it will still be a lot of fun. I'm going.

I'm also mulling over going to the game. When do they test again - Tuesdays?

I believe so! But if anything crazy happens the hotel we booked Hilton downtown Knoxville has a COVID cancellation policy! Rooms are super cheap there and it's a badass hotel!

The Graduate Hotel (used to be the Hilton Garden Inn) is right on campus. The four points is a 7 minute walk from Neyland. The Hilton downtown is nice and close to Market Square. Eat at Yassin's.

I think all the Hilton hotels have a 24 hour cancellation right now.

My humble opinion: rent a pontoon boat sleeper and watch the game in style.

If you're not tailgating on the Tennessee River, you are having fun all wrong.

It's an 12PM Est time game. I would recommend staying in Nashville, driving there and back and hit Broadway Friday and Saturday night...

Me and the roomies also considered the trip and we talked about doing exactly this. Our last game in college got ripped from us when they cancelled OM so we we're maybe gonna try to budget trip our way to Knoxville in taco bell drive throughs and waffle homes.

Been a while since I've been there, but the Residence Inn used to be very nice and had reasonable prices..... remember the definition of "reasonable" changes on game weekends......

there is some nice history set to be made on Saturday.

A&M has never played in Knoxville --- one of the college football cathedrals.

this will be the 4th time the Ags have played in the Volunteer State since joining the SEC.

2 bowl games and 1 road trip to Vanderbilt

another interesting note...A&M has been incredibly successful in its first trips to SEC road stadiums since joining the league.

the Ags lost their first games in Baton Rouge, Athens, and Columbia, MO (0-3)

but the program won its first games in Tuscaloosa, Auburn, Oxford, Starkville, Fayetteville, Nashville, Gainesville, and Columbia, SC. (8-0)

still have yet to play in Lexington

Nashville is in the Central Time Zone and Knoxville is in the Eastern Time Zone. You're talking a 3 hour drive plus the time change. That's a pretty early start to the day.

Bring some warm clothes. It's been very raw here lately. It was 32 degrees here this morning (I live 25 minutes from Neeland) and it's expected to be about the same this coming Saturday.

so the Ags are now 9-3 in their first games at SEC venues (as a member of the conference)

and it's a great time to be an aggie in the state of Tennessee.

A&M has now won in Memphis (2014), Nashville (2015), and Knoxville (2020) since joining the SEC

Aren't we undefeated in all those cities since joining the SEC?
