Wouldn't mind running the score up on a blue blood like USC or stay close to home in the Cotton and make another statement against OU to establish wins over both of our biggest regional recruiting opponents for the upcoming year.
Sure beats the hell out of the Texas Bowl or the Independence Bowl or... and I hate to relive this... the GalleryFurniture.com bowl..dave94 said:lil_frog8 said:

I can't understand why anyone would want to play in the Cotton Bowl.

I prefer to go to the Orange Bowl this year, too. But in saying the Cotton Bowl has been placed "just below the big boys" shows you don't follow college football closely.
The Cotton is part of the New Years Six. It is on equal footing with the Orange, Sugar, Rose, Peach, and Fiesta.
That is so right, examples in the not so distant past. OU/Bama, t.u/Georgia (dawgs just went trough the motions)Get Off My Lawn said:
#5 is a cursed spot. After playoff talk and hype, the dejected players get a consolation game they're told they should win easily. It's a recipe for an upset.

Orange Bowl against anybody. No idea why Ags would want to play in the Cotton instead of national exposure in Florida. Cotton Bowl is so yesterday. Time for something new.

Doesn't the Cotton make it easy to have recruits out to watch practices? Can't do that elsewhere.
