This game is always, and I mean always, fun to watch again.
I'm getting older so I forget things but isn't this the game we separated both shoulders of the BYU QB on different plays?
Never saw anyone consistently pancake people like him. Wish he would have stayed for his senior year. Best all around fullback I ever saw.Ifishandlie said:
Robert Wilson was an absolute beast. Watch that guy block. Not block, pancake the defensive players. Unreal
He played at Southwest and never beat Uvalde. We joked that he couldn't beat teams wearing maroon.AggieMD95 said:merch said:

Yes. And it was Texan traitor Ty Detmer
Jackass Ewards had no leg to stand on given all the disrespect he and his team spewed the weeks leading up to the game.Quote:
Edwards was pissed about that game but make no mistake... we ran the score up on him.
Ran a reverse passes and flea flickers in the 4th quarter and scored our last TD on a play action pass with 2 min left in the ballgame.
He may have been an ass but he had a leg to stand on that night.
That was the night we flew to Panama for our first OCONUS assignment with SOUTHCOM. I was expecting to be in a third world situation until we were checking in at the guesthouse and the desk clerk had the game on. I asked if we got it in the rooms and he said yes. Never checked in so fast. Not sure if the wife and kids brought in all the suitcases or if I did at halftime.CliffHogg said:
That was my wedding night! Was in shock when I realized that we had been picked for the Holiday Bowl and that particular date. Fortunately (and unbeknown to my bride to be...), one of my groomsmen had a pocket radio and an earpiece so that he could keep us all up to speed on how the game was going.

Was the only time I ever saw RC run up the score intentionally on anyone. And they deserved every bit of it
His blocking earned him a spot on the Houston Oilers for a few years, I seem to recall.Ifishandlie said:

We beat Tulsa something like 70-3 in 99 or 00. It was merciless.
Wilson did not play for the Oilers. Tampa, Dallas, and Miami.74AnimalA said:His blocking earned him a spot on the Houston Oilers for a few years, I seem to recall.Ifishandlie said:

And at the very end of the game that was our DC, a young Bob Davie walking off it RC
