.... Junior QB at Westlake, putting up ridiculous numbers has offers from almost everyone in the country except us....wondering why we aren't all over the kid or why we are so late to the table, seeing that both of his parents are Aggies

Seems pretty likely he will get an A&M offer.
Why it hasn't happened yet... your guess is as good as mine. But I trust Jimbo when it comes to his recruiting strategies.... especially with his QBs.

Sounds like they'd both be interested. Weigman grew up a Longhorn fan but sounds like he'd be interested in an Aggie offer. Klubnik has Aggie parents, but also is at Westlake and UT recently offered.
I think the general consensus is Weigman has more upside.

Having seen a few decent QB's go through the local HS, this kid is right up there. He looks like certain D1 material at this point.
Haha...that was not Mr Klubnik.
Hope he gets an offer, the guy throws a great deep ball and with the way our OL is trending our QBs should have enough time to make some magic happen.

Saw this kid at a football camp back in summer of 2019 and he stood head and shoulders above the other QBs and that included the other Westlake QB, Michaux, that had a pretty good senior season.

I don't get this. Klubnik is an absolute stud and a legacy and at an insane program. Weigman is good, but there is a good chance he goes pro in baseball. Klubnik still has a TON of growing as this is his first year as a full time starter, so not sure where the ceiling comment comes from

I would be willing to bet a ton of $ that Jimbo has visited with Dodge and Cade and made them aware of a timetable. I'm sure covid and trying to get into the college playoff might make the evaluation timeline a little different than normal.

I was at the SLK vs Westlake champ game and posted some thoughts on him on that game thread.
Ewers was kind of like a Mac Jones but under pressure and could do not so much. Cannon for arm, lots of touch can do anything with the ball. But he was very low athletic profile. Speed, agility challenges.
Klubnik was as dynamic an athlete QB as you will see apart from some real freak like Lamar Jackson. He JD wiggle, explosion and speed.
He could also make every throw, clearly not as strong an arm as Ewers but very good. And he could make every throw. Read the defense, picked SLK apart.
But the leadership he showed was where he stood out. Just cool and confident and his teammates fed of him. Got fiery so u guys that like that would appreciate that too.
He's long and needs to add weight but I was impressed.

I usually don't get wrapped up or watch recruiting that much bc you never know what these kids will do. But I'm with you. I really like what I see with Klubnik. This is the first recruit since Garrett that I really hope we get!
