Mond had a great game with Florida but Arkansas played the run fairly well compared to Florida and really forced Mond to make some plays. Mond made throw after throw and really had only one iffy throw I could find. He looked smooth and confident the entire night and I would say he carried the offense last night instead of the run game carrying him. Had some really nice touch passes and was much more accurate.

This is coming from someone who has been a major Mond doubter, but two out of the last 3 games have been great performances for him. If he keeps up the confidence and consistency we are going to have a really nice finish.

We saw FLA quality Mond last night.

But, FLA was a better game. He was throwing strikes into tight windows against Florida, again and again. And, he went over the top well against FLA multiple times.

Not that I am complaining about his play last night. He did his job, and did it well.
It takes a special kind of brainwashed useful idiot to politically defend government fraud, waste, and abuse.

I have been a huge critic of Mond over the last three years, but I will say, over the last few games, he has really settled in and done a good job. Now, can he stay focused and keep it up?

He's been sacked once this year? He was sacked over 30 times last season. The other seasons weren't much better. I've explained this a bizzillion times to only ridiculed and told I'm "clueless"

The OL improvement and having a legit rushing attack has helped Mond a lot. I have to say he has exceeded my expectations this Season at this point.

Remaining vertical and not running for your life lets you be a much better QB. Someone else mentioned the 'frightened face' wasn't present last night either. Knowing you'll have time and help from the backfield will help the self confidence tremendously. Shame it took us this long to see this side of him.

I would love for us to blow out some teams in the 3rd quarter, to get King some playing time.

Jimbo saw something in Mond the rest of us didn't. My apologies to Mond as I have considered him to be over rated. I was wrong.

He plays like ****e on the road, so, there's that.

At the beginning of the season I noted it is a real opportunity for Mond and the team to step up. It's kind of sad two-loss Auburn to close the season is our best remaining game. The ten SEC games aren't quite the year I imagined, though I did feel most teams would not look as good without the ooc games.

That Mond has performed well in two games, good in another, and serviceable (barely) against Vandy isn't the real story. The real story is he has gotten better as the team gelled. There are things he still is doing that will be problematic especially how he uses his eyes. More targets that can get positioned to create separation has made him a better passer and he's using throws to move the receiver now. But still has more upside if he wants to achieve it.

Here's for him doing that this year...and maybe being back another year if that happens.

I'll be honest I expected Mond to run a lot more, because he's shown in the past to not throw the ball well against teams playing defense like Arkansas. Arkansas likes to drop 7-8 into zone in an attempt to mask the deficiencies which is a very smart strategy by that coaching staff.

A big key was our receivers were more prepared to sit in the open areas of the zone and if we can do that more consistently the offense should be able to hang with anybody.

Mond has improved and the o line has improved dramatically. Put those together and you see better results.

I've not been a Mond believer.

That said, I think he made some of the best passes I've ever seen him make v Pig. It also seemed to me that Mond was making more reads more of the time v Pig.

Now he needs to go have that performance on the road gosh darn it.

I've been doing A&M football for 56 years, don't think I've ever seen our offense score a TD on 6 consecutive drives.

Spectacular.

Now he needs to complete passes over 20 yards. They still don't have to cover the entire field though it's getting better.

Relatively low bar and against a bottom dweller.

But yes, his best game this season, or probably ever.

Arky is no longer a bottom dweller imo. They are squarely in the middle of the SECW imo. Our OL did a great job protecting Mond and he did his part by picking apart a mediocre ( at best) secondary. He has played 2 very good games this yr ( Fl and Arky). If Arky can match their coaching with some better recruiting they will be a thorn in everyone's side. If Mond plays the rest of the yr like he has played the past 3 games then all of the Mond detractors were wrong, me included, and Jimbo was right.
