Deadline to decide is next Wednesday. If you opt in, you will have a chance to select seats based on priority points. If nothing you like, you can then still opt out. If you opt out, they put the full press on you to convert your payment to a charitable donation rather than take it as a refund. Either choice and you still have access to your assigned seats in the 2021 season.

Sort of surprised they didn't ask for number of tickets if you "opt in". I am not planning on getting all my tickets.

Yes, you ultimately decide the number of seats at "seat selection", but you would think this was a chance to give them a better idea on how may seats will actually be desired by current season ticket holders.

I've talked to others that say they are getting tickets, but not their normal amount.

I agree, they need both sets of data to get a feel for the number of seats they'll need, and how to accommodate the greatest number of season tickets holders and students as possible. Maybe those who opt in will get a follow up with this question.

They will lose a lot of people, which is probably expected and necessary to reach the ~ 25,000 seat max. Considering the variability on seats (by priority points), assumed yo-yo from game to game due to administration, covid landscape etc, wearing a mask all game, Aggie band remote and piped in through jumbotron, 75,000 empty seats, probably no tailgating (but if it's allowed, very controlled and a shadow of typical), march ins and pre-game reduced, no updates on my RV spot on campus and their reaction yet, personal issues with some of thepositions by athletes, my badass air conditioning and comfy couch, no travel required for the family, better food and drink possibilities at home; I'll probably opt out this year. Selling points are few. Hunting season could be great.

Limits will be 4 or less per account is my guess.
Maybe 6 but that's the upper limit if a lot of people opt out. Obviously if you only had 2 seats on your account, you get 2 seats not 4.

I love watching Aggie ball in Kyle, but I've just had my 2nd knee replaced couple of weeks ago. Temptation is great to opt out now, donate entire thing and grab that 4x priority points and see how that improves my seating next year. Part of me wants to opt in and just see if I can get at least one seat that will not involve a lot of climbing, but the way I read the email is that the 4x point offer is not guaranteed available at that point. Is everyone else understanding that the same way ?

**12th Man Foundation has done a Great Job with Todays Updates.**

But More Information is Required:

1. Some rough schematic / layout of the "New Distanced Seating Plan"

If there is truly going to be only 1,000 to 1,500 seats allowed on Westside 2nd Deck -
It would help fans to visualize / understand the true 6 foot spacing between parties.
**More would be interested in Opting-In if they were more informed...

2. Will there be any "On Campus Tailgating" Yes / No / or Yes with High Restrictions

**This would be very helpful in convincing fans to Opt-In as well.
The Best Decisions are made with "Real Information"

I opted out. For no other reason than I am a chemo patient in Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and can't take a chance in crowds.

But I deferred till next year...so unless they raise the donation amounts or seat prices, I get a "free year"...kinda.

I have the same question. The email states if you choose to opt out, you will receive a "Limited time up to 4x priority point bonus." What is "limited time" and will the 4x bonus apply at seat selection if you opt out then?
SouthCollegeStation

4X Priority Point Bonus -

Is only if you elect to Opt-Out - By next Wednesday

Or

If you Opt-In by next Wednesday -
Do the new seat selection process and but decide to Opt-Out at that time -
which will take place in early September.

You forgot the most important part to get 4x, you also must donate the ticket money to the foundation.

They say "limited time "

My guess is it will stay until they reach the number required to meet the 25% target or close to it.

They will probably lose a lot of cry babies

the biggest issue will be folks that have armchair seats...possibly moving to bench seats.

to go from back support & arm rests to neither...is going to be problematic.

for the donors that already sit in the West bench...then it's a matter of moving to a higher row and closer to the endzones. A little easier jump to make

My gut feel is they wouldn't do this.

Anyone here been pressured to donate their payment?

I haven't felt pressured, but it is something I've been thinking about every since they first floated the priority point boost. I've done the reseating/upgrade option last couple of years and have been happy with resulting upgrades. I think they've done a good job of communicating without pressuring especially considering how fluid the situation is. They are the fund raising arm so I expect them to ask for donations.

Also donated to political campaigns the last couple of presidential cycles. Now those guys email/text 2-3 times a day straight out pressuring for money.

4x priority points? They're really trying to incentivize people to opt out. Probably going to work on me. As stated above, not a lot of reasons to go this year.

You are kidding yourself if you think the " priority point boost " will significantly improve your seating but that's why they have these sorts of disinformation campaigns. It's important to their narrative that it's a program that rewards " loyalty "

I don't have season tickets, but if I did I'd opt-out for the simple fact of not wanting to wear a mask fir 3 hours in 90 degree plus heat

I can't even stand wearing a mask for 30 minutes in an ice-cold grocery store

I went ahead and opted out and applied it all as donation. After seeing results I'm really glad I did.

Out for good. Never again or until Young and his liberals have been purged from the campus. Coaches need to be able to discipline their athletes. I actually have no hope that it will change due to poor leadership and just weak principles.

I selected the opt-out for my 4 seats/season tickets in favor of students getting the opportunity to attend the game(s).

So you went ahead and donated your payment and didn't take a refund?

My son is a current senior. He said he has opted out of the student sports pass, and told his employer that he is available to work Saturdays.

He said he has seen Kyle field full and rocking, he wants no part of it at 25% capacity. It would be a soul crushing experience.
