I was going to come on here and say how I didn't care for RC and had "Fire RC" shirts made when I was in school but I guess that wouldn't be appropriate since he reads this thread.

No need to explain coach! I was a walk-on while you were the DC under Wilson. Have all the respect for you! Coaching ain't easy. My time didn't end the way I wanted either. Season started bad and we ran into a guy by the name of Herschel Walker! Lol. I made a dumb move on the first punt of the second half. Let's just say The Head Coach was not happy! Ran the play back more than any other play in the game in the team meeting on Sunday!!lol. I think the score was 47-0 or 47-7! But I never held a grudge. Hope everything is good Ben There

Was waiting for the NCAA moving the kickoff line back to be brought up. Glad you came back in here, RC.

Another bit most folks forget is that against tu when Eric Metcalf was returning kicks, Jackie would have a few scholarship players mixed in with the walk-ons.
This is a partial lie. I've seen the tape to prove it. The only time the scholly guys covered was AFTER we took the lead 20-13 in the '87 game. Coach Hallman made the decision to use the "regular" cover team, which included 12thMan teammate Dean Berry & myself. As Sr's, we expressed our disapproval as best we could, and Coach understood our frustration.

Can assure you that there were not any on the field covering against Metcalf in '86 game in Austin.
