What's the usual student attendance for SEC games at Kyle? Sucks that Bjork said that season ticket holders get priority over students

I take it you are a current student. I am a former student, and think that it is complete horse **** that students wouldn't receive the majority of the seats in this current situation. If there is such a concern with spreading this virus, resulting in limiting the capacity, then it should be limited to the people that are in town and already around each other. Students only get 4 years to experience this (5-1/2 years - 6 football seasons, 3 head coaches, 2 different conferences, and a heisman winner in my case) and I would be pissed if part of that was taken away from me.

I, for one, will give up my tickets this year if it will help free up seats for students. I believe many more former students will do the same. Everything about this year is terrible.

It sucks but all alums are not going to pay for tickets and not attend.

Give the upperclassmen priority for tickets. The reason for the delayed start is because there will be a huge rise of cases in the first few weeks of the semester. Hopefully the students take it easy on the public gatherings, maybe the cases drop and they let you in for the second half of the season.

Maybe I am on my own island here, but why shouldn't students get preferential treatment to tickets over season ticket holders? I mean, at the heart of it, Football is meant for the school and current crop of students/staff...not the alumni. Obviously, it's money driven, but I think it's horse crap.

Even though I'm an '80, I stood in the student section for that game. I get it. It's very sad to be, possibly, left out of that experience.

I never missed a single home game when I was a student.

No one knows how big the student section is?

Alienate the students ??? ... kinda like Reed seating. Students get left over and crap seats. It's all about $$$$$

Should be Priority 1. Students should get whatever percent of tics they need ... East side and 3rd deck end zones.

Priority 2. Season tics Holders should get the rest of the 51k available ...distance themselves west side, the Zone and 1st and 2nd level south end zone.

and, um, were the restrooms on the student side renovated with the rest of the stadium back in 2014/2015?

Efffff the FS. Students should get first choice. It's COLLEGE football.

Students should be the first priority... period! Donors who are season ticket holders (like us) should go to the back of the line behind not only the students, but players' parents and family also!

Not sure most of you are aware of how different A&M is with their student seating. At most Us the student seating is limited to far below the actual enrollment of the school, most students don't get tickets to all the games, even as a Sr. Bama student section I believe is 12K, used to be only 7K prior last expansion.

I do like the tradition at A&M of the massive student body fan base at the games, but even as a student I thought it was stupid for A&M to let students have premium seating in Kyle Field. That was a contributing factor to why we were lacking and falling behind in facilities for so very long.

This whole entire situation sucks, but given A&Ms deference to students I do believe they will do their best to keep the %s the same or close to it.

It's not going to matter anyway when they take the next step to 25%, then 0%, then cancelling games even with no fans, etc., etc.

We'll finally settle the debate on who doesn't yell at games, New Army or Old Army. Kyle will be as quiet as a funeral home

I think that many former students will renew their season tickets and donate at least a few games to students. So TMF gets $$$$ per seat rather than $, but probably feels confident that a large number (considering COVID) of students will actually get to attend. I anticipate a BIG ad campaign encouraging former students to donate their $$$tickets to current students. Shame upon the selfish olds over 30 we see at games for not donating to some poor student.

And I agree that students should get tickets first. I just think TMF has figured out a way to get $$$$$ for each student butt in the seat.

Everyone should just boycott this season. Send a message you don't appreciate being labeled a racist.

If you let students have 34,000 of the 51,000 available seats, you will go broke.

Cut student section in half, cut non-student section in half, eliminate visitor tickets and distribute those to both groups.

All the people labeled "racists" by one of our players on the commission should just stay home - problem solved.

Former students pay the freight for everything and I don't mind that. With that said, give me a credit for this years tix applicable for next season without losing my seats and my TWMF standing and I'm cool. I'm sure others will sell their seats on the open market this year. I'll grab them there.

We have almost two months before game 1. If half of season ticket holders opt out, which does not seem unlikely based on what I have read, that would leave room for about 27,000 students. Bjork alluded to this. I will wait and see how that plays out before donating my tickets. I do think, however this works, students should get to attend.

right there with you. With my 87 year old mom staying with me there is no way I'm risking attending the games anyway. I'll eat the cost of this years tickets if they guarantee my 2 seats will go to students.

When you say your willing to give up your tickets does that mean you'll pay for them and give them up?

yep, the secondary market may be atrocious this year for sellers

I tend to think there will be 5,000 to 10,000 season ticket holders opting out.

for numerous reasons including:

COVID
players' behavior
can't sit in original seats (i.e. relocated to the endzones)

and that will free up a bunch of tickets for students
