I don't think the Smiths are interested in opening more locations. They haven't expanded in like 2, 3 decades, maybe longer.

I tried to franchise a Waffle House in CS a couple years ago... they told me they had no interest in coming here. Had a failed store in NG in the 90s and apparently we're on their ****list.

why? waller has one coming from Houston, Giddings has one coming from Austin and Luling has one before you turn up 77 to come into town.

but then again......I'm not running a company.

Plus there food sucks, they need a Praseks.

You could probably blindfold these goones that claim WH food is "nasty" and tell them momma was making them breakfast. Feed them WF eggs, bacon, toast and grits and they would magically love it

My first job out of A&M was a field telcom engineer working lots of nights in the midwest. The only places to eat were Denny's and Waffle House. There always seemed to be a strip club near the waffle house and as I had dinner at 2AM a bunch of strippers and their entourage would slither in.

That's what I remember most about WF
