Wow, he does it all. Runs outside or inside, catches in the flat, out on the sideline and downfield, outruns people, makes people miss, breaks tackles. What a highlight video. Loved the first part of the video at his new home.

With smith moving to rb permanently I am having a hard time figuring out how smith AND achane will get a ton of carries... especially with our starting running back, spiller, expected to be the starter. Seems like both players should be on the field together as much as possible

The Zoo complains about our O'line (& rightfully so), so Jimbo gets Achane, who doesn't need effective blocking; he just needs a body between a defender so they lose sight of him for a second, which he uses to change course on a dime so the defender's momentum carries them out of making a play. In fact, Achane's game is so unbelievably methodical and tight; he slides around guys by a matter of inches, doesn't lose momentum/ speed, and is planning his next move/ cut several steps ahead. And then there is his acceleration.

Good Lord!

SPEED! Fun to watch his ability to get to open space where he hit another gear.

Exactly. I don't understand the dumb slomo. His best attribute is elite speed so let's take that away in some sort of attempt to be artsy.

I see no issues with Smith, Achane, and Spiller getting the ball enough. The days of 1 back or even 2 are done. Spiller did it last year because he had no choice. But our Offense ran much smoother with Smith getting carriers in the bowl game. Achane will be used all over the field. Having 3 good backs is no issue at all. Don't sleep on Crownover as The Power Back

I hope you are right.

But Jimbo seems to pick one player and go with them. Richardson certainly earned a shot at more carries, but did not get them. Corbin should have had at least some more carries the season before, if nothing else to have a more experienced backup to Williams. Did not happen.

I had heard great things through recruiting, but just thought he was all speed and I was excited. This is the first video that I have seen of him, and was surprised by the power he has too. He can shed some tackles. This video got me pumped for the future. We are going to score a lot more with the talent we have coming in.

Achane's film is far more impressive than Evans.

Definitely a top recruit for us regardless of stars.....speed, speed, speed. Think he's running track for Pat Henry too.

This. The video screws up dang near every part of the play that involves a change of direction with the slow motion. Let the highlight speak for itself! That said, I can't wait to see this kid on the field. He's so much faster than everyone on the field it's crazy.
