This is always a blessing in disguise. It's just a rinse repeat process of
  • recruits get overrated to pump sip ego and get momentum
  • overrated classes lose on field to teams with "less" talent than them
  • sip fanbase gets pissed and fires coach because he isn't winning with overrated recruits
  • hires new coach who makes what they can with overrated recruits
  • regardless of talent recruits of new coach get overrated to pump sip ego and get momentum
Honestly it's a hell of their own making, I certainly don't want to deprive them of that.
I approve this formula.

No success in sight.

Yea yea the sun is shining the sips rankings are being inflated.

This has to be the most egregious year yet, they're the only other school in the top 20 (Notre Dame) that has less than 20 kids and they're at 9???? Not to mention the meteoric rise of kids like Hudson Card and Jake Majors, and half of there kids have offer lists with only a couple SEC/Big 10 offers.

How long can they keep getting away with this?
Their recruiting rankings versus their W/L record in a crappy conference speaks for itself.

Highly inflated classes that "Under perform" is why pundits so often say tu's coaches are failing to develop their talent, which then makes it harder for them to recruit top talent.

What elite player wants to play for a coach who can barely beat Kansas with multiple "Top-10" classes on their roster?

I'm all for it!
Thanks and gig'em

Please quit whining about sip recruit rankings. When we are good enough to be relevant, they won't matter. We signed up for a tough conference. This won't be easy but the sips are freaking out about our last couple of classes. Parity has come to Texas and that will not change anytime soon

Herman got 6-7 really good prospects this cycle. And then another 6-7 guys that are WAY overrated. Then some lower ranked guys.

The really good prospects hit at around only 50%. I think he has enough to win 9-10 next year or the next but will be toast long term. He isn't getting enough elite athletes to win big, even in that crappy conf.

So glad the 'Sips are no longer our rival; otherwise people would be obsessing over things like where they are ranked in recruiting compared to us.

2 things that you will never see....an under ranked Norte Dame team & an under ranked texas team.

Been that way for yeeeaarrrsss.

Accept it & laugh when they continue to underperform from their pre-season hype.

Texas University... until we win a Natty will be the "biggest" U in the state.

Doesn't matter our enrollment, doesn't matter our revenue, doesn't matter our stadium Capacity.

They get more news coverage for doing less just because they are tu, they got their own LHN (which sucks), they also have 2 MnCs in the last 50 years.

Until we actually do something big time on the ball field we are considered little brother...

As long as you remain a branch of Texas you will be little brother.

What are you talking about?

He's talking about some piece of legislature back in the 1860s that said A&M was supposed to be a branch of Texas university. It was intentioned legislatively for A&M to be under the UT system but never functionally achieved. A&M has always been a separate entity considering the fact we opened years before they did and that nobody in our entire system answers to anybody in the sip system (but these mouth breathing trolls don't use logic).
What's great is that some smart A&M supporters were able to crack into the PUF because of that legislation but maintain our independence.

I don't believe it mandated who should open first. Just that Texas would be a world class university (or however they worded it) and that you guys would be the a&m branch.
