This has to be the most egregious year yet, they're the only other school in the top 20 (Notre Dame) that has less than 20 kids and they're at 9???? Not to mention the meteoric rise of kids like Hudson Card and Jake Majors, and half of there kids have offer lists with only a couple SEC/Big 10 offers.

How long can they keep getting away with this?

• recruits get overrated to pump sip ego and get momentum
• overrated classes lose on field to teams with "less" talent than them
• sip fanbase gets pissed and fires coach because he isn't winning with overrated recruits
• hires new coach who makes what they can with overrated recruits
• regardless of talent recruits of new coach get overrated to pump sip ego and get momentum

Honestly it's a hell of their own making, I certainly don't want to deprive them of that.

I don't care how high their class is ranked as long as they keep losing 5 games or more a year.

They signed 12-15 very nice players. Their class does not suck. Jake Majors is the only guy that has a WTF ranking to me. I guess he's a coach on the field, because he is not a player.

When are you guys going to stop getting your panties in a bunch over things that ultimately don't matter? Being ranked 1st vs 101st will not win you more games. Overrating players does not make them better at football. 2-4 years from now when the playoff committee is putting together their playoff they are not going to care what your recruiting class was ranked. Just stop.

As long as they keep selling that, we keep selling to recruits that they won't be developed there.

LSU, Clemson, and Bama have won the past 5-6 titles. You want to know what they all had in common when it comes to recruiting rankings?

Rankings don't win you games, but rankings indicate the kind of talent you are bringing in. If you aren't top 5 or better almost every year you have no shot at winning a title.

If you aren't ranked in the top 10 then yeah, your #11 ranked team isn't much different than the #30th when it comes to results on the field.

I'm almost to the point that I don't give a **** what TU does/does not do directly or indirectly through its affiliates. Except as it relates to our ability to recruit Texas HS players.

Notwithstanding the "Texas is back" idiocy of TU/ESPN/AP Poll, TU hasn't actually been nationally relevant since, what, 2006? With the TCU program back in the cellar, OU is the only good team in the B12 (TU, Rape U and Okie lite ok).

I really only consider how we're recruiting nationally/building our program v SEC teams, Clemson, Oh St. and the like.

Their kryptonite has always been arrogance. Let it continue...

I don't see what the big deal is, they have a really good class for a 8-5 team with a lame duck head coach that couldn't beat Baylor three years in!

90% of teams would trade classes With them in a heart beat.

That said, They should be in the top 5 every year. The biggest University in the best state should have a top 5 class every year and anything less unacceptable.

Especially for a year 3 coach.

The past 3 champs actually had elite classes. Sips just fooling themselves.

You guys just let it go. We don't really care what they do anymore.

The crazy bump in stars only works early in the recruiting cycle in hopes that actual highly rated recruits will follow. After that it's just the medias way of keeping them in the news somehow.
