But, T2 in SECw, going 8-4, and finishing in the AP top 15 is not the "brink of collapse" - L. Miles last year.

He wasnt aupposed to last through the end of the season 2 years ago. He wasnt supposed to be the head coach starting this season, etc.

He just won a title, he has a minimum 4 year cushion now and as long as the wheels dont cometely fall off - the shrimp boat captain is here to stay for a while.

He would have to have back to back losing seasons before they will let him go IMO.

Dude...every coach's success depends on their assistants and their ability to recruit. The days of the HC doing it all have long since passed.

Look, i despise lsu proba ly more than anybody on this board. I,mean i really really hate that program, more than I ever hated the homos west of us. But trying to,marginalize what shrimp boat has do,e is just stupid. O put together a great set of coordinators and assistants, got out of their way, and recruited hell for good talent to provide them. He did what a good HFC is supposed to do, and he won a championship by doing what a good HFC is supposed to do. Give the guy crwdit, because it is definitely due.

It's not really going too far out on a limb to say he won't make it to the end of this extension. That would put him right at 10 years at LSU. The list of coaches that have been at the same school for 10 years in this day and age is not very long. It just doesn't happen that often any more.
Hell, most people on here were saying Jimbo will never make it to the end of his 10-year contract when we hired him.
