I was never big on Young...I remember watching the Rose Bowl against USC and Young seemed a non-factor most of the game.
Really? He didn't even have 150 yards passing until the 4th quarter. He couldn't throw at all until the end. Maybe you just remember his running (which was great) or maybe you simply like acting like a jerk. Glad to see you that's the route you take instead of showing real stats. I think its the 3rd down conversion stats that are astonishingly low for a winning team. Texas couldn't sustain many drives at all.

VY was one of the most dominant college football players I have ever seen in his junior year. My first instinct is that he should have been higher but when you think about how many people have played college football over the years maybe that is a good place.
I would have Tebow higher because he dominated for such a long period of time and won two MNCs.

that looks like a coordinated sexual assault...AstroAg17 said:aglaes said:
unless you're a perineal top 10 program for most of that time, you'll be lucky to have more than 1 or 2 payers make that list.
I'd put money on Herschel, Tony Dorsett or Archie Griffin.Sarduakar said:
Who do you think is #1?
Hershel Walker, Barry Sanders, Bo Jackson, old school Red Grange, Doak Walker?
Others i didnt see listed. Tommie Frazier, peyton, Johnny Rodgers, Earl Campbell.

Haven't revealed the top 25 yet, but the list is already a colossal train wreck. VY at 81? Tebow at 76??
But the real crime is, you guessed it, no Johnny Manziel to be found anywhere on the list. Regardless of what you think about Johnny, there's no way on earth he isn't one of the 150 greatest college football players of all time.
Put down the crack pipe. Do you have any concept of just how many college football players there have been? Assume 100 teams for 100 years with 70 players per team. That's somewhere around 700,000 players.
Manzel is more correctly ranked somewhere between 5000 and 50000 in "best college players of all time".
Hell, there is probably 150 DEFENSIVE players ahead of him.

That's why lists like this are so difficult. Put Johnny on that Texas team or on those Florida teams and he'd have multiple MNCs too. It'll never be an apples to apples comparison because so many of the TEAMS were dominant, but Johnny's A&M teams weren't (in terms of titles, that is).
Edit: and has been noted already, as dominant as VY was as a junior, countless Texas fans thought he was terrible halfway through his sophomore year.

Marcus Mariota on here really?
He was a system QB that couldn't win the big game. Sigh... this list has a lot of holes in it
I hate the sips as much as the next guy, but I honestly am surprised Ricky Williams didn't make the top 25, same with Radio.Gil Renard said:

Umm.. why wouldn't he be ranked higher than them? He broke records set by both of those guys. The only thing they had on Johnny was a defense worthy of a championship. And seriously, you think they'd throw John David Crow on the list but not Johnny? lol Can't believe how many of y'all are going to be surprised when he cracks the top 10 let alone the top 25.Mabel Choate said:Rendered Fat said:
He'll be in the top 25. Several ESPN talking heads have openly said he's the best college player they've ever seen. I specifically recall the ginger former Alabama qb saying that.
He's really going to be at least 50 spots higher than Tebow and Vince Younf? Keep dreaming
Imagine a Clemson or LSU fan getting upset they didn't make the committee's top 25 before they announced the playoff teams. This is a lot like that.Mabel Choate said:

Manziel took a middle of the pack Big 12 team to the upper tier of the SEC all because of his play. That's top 25 all-time.Mabel Choate said:
