A lot of mond's issues are oline related

When the oline plays better, not coincidentally, so does mond

Mond is not a great web, but he's a good college an who is learning and developing under one of the best at the college level

Whatever he may become at the nfl level, if anything, will be in part due to coach fisher's tutelage

I think kellen has a decent physical toolset and he's willing to learn, he just needs to keep developing

Mahomes passing skills are somewhat different than what Kellen will take to the NFL.

He will make a decent practice team qb

Mond will have a better NFL career than JFF

In 8 years, if he sticks to it, Mond will be just good enough that some in the press will use his name as the example of failed NFL quarterbacks getting called in for a tryout ahead of Colin Kaepernick.

Mond, if Fisher is to be believed, is a great film room/QB room asset. If he can similarly impress NFL scouts he is sure to get on as a practice team QB. I wouldn't be shocked to see him carve out a decent career as a journeyman backup.

There will come a time where when the bdf is ignored on draft day, even QB.

Who gives a s*** about pro football or whether Coach Fisher is a great coach to prepare our players for the pros. I want him to win COLLEGE football games at THIS school. That's all I care about. If he does that, our players will be drafted.

Well, Mond faced future NFL defenses all season long. Maybe when Mond has an NFL OL, RB, and WR's around him he'll finally be on an even playing field.

If everything around him has to be perfect for the hope of consistent production...then even more proof that his is not the guy.

If what the OP says is true, recruits will want to go to a school that churns out NFL draft picks. Jimbo has done that. It remains to be seen if he does that here, but he does have a track record.

No. I didn't. I like Mond. He is our best option this year.
I said he hadn't improved in the areas where coaching is supposed to help.

I agree with your assessment 100%. And I will add that there is one thing he lacks that coaching really can't address. He has terrible accuracy on deep throws. This alone will keep him from doing much in the NFL.

Because showing positive player development and success at putting players at the next level is what the vast majority of these guys want and it helps recruit top talent. Top talent wins games.

He is inaccurate (usually high) due to awkward arm mechanics, inconsistent footwork, and lack of pocket presence. He is slow to process information and make decisions, frequently makes bad decisions when he finally makes them, and stares down receivers and does not go through progressions even when he has adequate time.

But he has good answers when he comes to the sideline and the team will follow him anywhere (including into disastrous losses, apparently).

I am not sure how the issues below translate to the NFL, but I am sure the Cowboys will select him in the first three rounds.

I guess that a lot of you are thrilled that Mond will be coming back to lead our team next year. I don't think he's as bad or as good as any of you say. He probably isn't a championship caliber QB, but we probably won't challenge for it next year anyway, with or without him.

I suggest a couple hundred more threads on him before next season! (I'll probably read them all)
