Won't tua be back next year? bo nix would be up there too.

If we're lucky mond will declare for the draft and we'll have King/Calzada

We will need a WR to really step into that "downfield threat" role. Right now we have a ton of possession guys but don't consistently stretch the defense or create separation.

Btw: it's next year. We have no clue what happens in spring and summer much less fall. At some point Jimbo will replace Mond. If for no other reason than Mond completes his eligibility or leaves early.

So the bigger picture is that our fan base looks for and wallows in negative stories about our school. And then we have the audacity to suggest that we need coaches that "get us." Which means, I guess, tolerate mass neuroses.

I will put my money on whoever quarterbacks LSU. Much like OU, they brought in a system that makes quarterbacks look good. Burrow had a 133 rating last year, this year it's 203!

Mond is our QB, coach knows it, team knows it. Ride or die beaatches!!

Because mond will be a 4th year starter next year and Burrow, Fromm and probably Tua will all be gone, the media will logically be pushing Mond as the SECs best.

I definitely feel he has a chance to be the best should the O line progress (going out on a limb in believing that..), but his play will ultimately determine if he will be the best.

Other candidates for the best would be Myles Brennan at LSU, Mac Jones at Bama and Jon Rhys Plumlee at ole miss. If Tua comes back of course he would be considered the best until proven otherwise.

Bo nix May fall prey to Auburn's upper brass imploding the program by ousting Gus malzahn. The team would be rebuilding if that's the case and that doesn't bode well for bo.

This "lucky" scenario you have created would not end well for us.

If he keeps consistently improving like he has, sure.

This is a totally irrelevant fake ranking. The SEC has never been a QB driven conference. Burrow is the exception to the rule, but let's see if LSU doesn't choke and actually wins conference.

Yes, Mond will be the best in the SEC and possibly the best in the nation.

Ha, because Alabama is really shaky without him.

How good Alabama is without Tua is irrelevant to my comment. You said SEC has never been a QB driven conference and Burrow is the exception. Tua has been equally dominate when healthy.

Mond will have around 35 starts, 7500 yards, 55 TDs, and three off-seasons with Jimbo under his belt before week 1 next season. He's gone from a 51% to 57% to a 64% passer. He's improved at literally every area of his game each season despite a huge decline in pass protection.

I love how many of y'all are so quick to say no but have literally no other names to throw out there. If not Mond, then who's the guy?

Bo Nix is about where Mond was his sophomore year. But with a more help around him I think. Which shows me Mond is still a year ahead in his progression.

We could always see a transfer come in and take the field with a decent team, but barring that, who's left that's going to be better?
If someone transferred in would have to sit a year. We're going to have Foster, Calzada, and King and all 3 are Jimbo's guys. I think we are set at QB.
Pretty sure they were talking about for a different SEC school.

Auburn friends of mine don't think much of Gus Malzahn's ability to develop a QB and think he is hurting Bo's development. So if Gus is still there and still calling plays next year, I wouldn't count on Bo doing much.

Lil Tua would like to sing to you the song of his people

Is Lil Tua as good as Big Tua or is he more like Lil Vick was at Va Tech?
Just because he's Tua's brother doesn't mean he's as good.

You may be right. Malzahn has never really had great QB's as much as a great scheme. Then there's Stidham who clearly regressed in his second and last year in that offense.

Best stats, or best overall film?

Stats: money on the field and not even close. QB's stats are too dependent on the OL and weapons.
Film: Mond is the most likely to have best film. But in Mond vs. The Field, would have to bet the field.

NOT a criticism of Mond. Just the reality that other programs likely have better OL next year.

Be careful with all the stats and sound logic around here

Add to the analysis that LSU will be a great opportunity for whomever gets the job. They should return 3 OL and all receivers (unless someone decides to be stupid and leave prematurely).

And b/c it is a spread, they could find another good transfer if nobody on the roster steps up.

Mond played well against a top level defense yesterday so I'll revive the topic. Mond will likely return next year. After the past few weeks' performances, it's possible that Fromm will return as well, but even then, Mond's outplayed Fromm this year. LSU may be able to get a good grad transfer to move in and play for them - that part you can't predict.

I don't see another QB in the SEC who I'd rather have next year than Mond, though. He's solid. Add the developing young players on top of the 2020 schedule and the Aggies' shot at a playoff may well come down to performance in the last two weeks of November.
