Taggart was canned because his team looked as lost and unprepared in his last game as they did in his first a season ago. There are D-III teams who have a better idea of what they're doing on the field. After the Boise State game, he knew he couldn't blame Jimbo anymore, so he blamed his players for not being conditioned correctly. Well Willie, that's 100% on you. Same with having your team prepared to know who goes in on which formations, etc. That's stuff that should be cleaned up by game 2 or 3 at the latest, not > 50% through season 2.

Jimbo also lost his starting QB, which didn't help. What could FSU expect Taggart to do? Well, be prepared for one. Again, that's 1 thing he failed at well into season 2. It's one thing to lose, but it's a whole nother thing to lose and look like a JV team playing it's first game.
