Yea not a popular opinion, but has it always been a thing to call someone a sip when they post an opinion that doesn't go along with the majority? Yea i get it there are probably sips crawling around on here trolling and looking for out of context posts, but it seems especially bad this year with the teams recent struggles.

Why isn't A. Smith playing...SIP

Why has special teams been so s****y...SIP

Why have we struggled on the recruiting front this year...SIP

You dare to question Jimbo...SIP

It's just tiring seeing posters gettin' absolutely reamed for asking usually valid questions on a g*d**n message board that's meant for that kind stuff. If youre first response to a question or comment is SIP then you might as well not answer in the first place.

There is a tendency among especially Old(er) Army to remember fondly the unity of purpose and mind that existed when they were at Texas A&M as students.

All the game days were sunny, we never lost, the FTAB never lost a halftime, and people actually got on Highways 6 and 21 and left town when they were called two percenters (north-south) or sips (west on 21.)

Stand strong. Support your opinion. And reason with them. If they choose to be unreasonable...that's on them.

You have to keep it in perspective. There are some weirdo people who never matured correctly on this site that derive their self worth from Aggie football. When you begin to chip away at what they hold so near and dear, you are effectively destroying their worldview. Like children, they will lash out at anything that upsets their feeweeings.

Don't lose hope though. This site is small potatoes in the grand scheme of things and does not represent the majority of Aggies. Just like all conservatives are not neo-Nazis nor are libtards all antifa nutcases.

You really need to try harder. First of all Jimbo's first class was mainly Sumlins recruits. Second of all we had a top 5 class last year and are looking at at least a top 10 this year.

It's only struggling relative to what's around us, last years class is great and we're looking at a good class this year, but we've lost A TON of h2h's against sip and bama and lsu so far. I'm happy that Fisher is getting the guys he wants even if they're further on down the list, but given what other top tier programs can do with their classes, it isn't gonna cut it to bring in a 5 star here and there. We need at least 4-5 of these Nike/Under armour/Adidas all american diva kids a year to really compete

Picking up Jose Dill Pickle from Iowa who's a low 4 star is awesome if he's a great kid...but it's not shocking to me how bama wins every year when they field a team with NFL talent

It takes time to get to Bama's level. We currently have 2 5 stars in this years class and one borderline 5 star. We have a chance with at least 1 more. Plus there are reports of tu's class falling apart, at least on defense.

There are a few posters on here that blindly accuse anyone with a dissenting opinion as a sip.
I tend to look at posting history before accusing someone.

Other things to look for, and this has been quite rampant lately, is rookies starting derogatory threads.
These are usually sips or other BDF trolls and those have been getting called out as sips a lot lately.

I would say that, except for those few that accuse almost anyone of being a sip, a lot of the sip accusations lately are warranted due to the numerous trolls that appear when the Ags lose a game.

He is playing. He didn't get a ton of touches last week but he is the primary kick returner and is on the field quite a but as the slot guy

Special teams have not been bad this year save for the Bama game and a few missed FGs

Because the people that populate this place have extremely thin skin. They can't take any sort of jokes or criticism. Simply thinking that big bad boogeyman from another school's fanbase is lurking on this board pretending to be an Aggie is pretty strong proof of this.

Shouting down anything they don't like with "SIP TROLL!!!!" is probably the internet equivalent of putting your fingers in your ears and crying.

A lot of the loudest people on this board are the reason the hurt feelings report was first printed. In the immortal words of Shawn Carter:

So, how did jimbo get two years of recruits here ( =50%) If he's only had one recruiting class?

I'm thinking he's got 25% of his kids here and I think 6 played last Saturday.

Should turnover approx 20-25% per year....so it's not struggling in that regard

After he was hired, that first group barely counts. That was duct tape and hold on for dear life, just getting bodies to fill some spots. Not a thru and thru class of research and a years worth of work.

I find it humorous with some of the ignorance.

I get called a sip all the time I think bc I don't have an Ag tag. I keep no Ag tag to ensure remaining 100% anonymous.....but I'm a 4th generation Aggie with around 20 direct relatives all having their degree also from Texas A&M. Not that anyone in our family would want to but they'd be burned at the stake if they mentioned going to tu. It's ingrained in us from birth. Been at games in Kyle regularly since I was 3 months old. My kid sings the war hymn randomly multiple times per day......yet a few times a week I get called a sip on here. Used to get annoyed by it but it's just funny to me now bc it's pure ignorance by the other party.

I've found that even popular opinions can be labeled sip trolls. Even positive comments about the program. Sometimes I think it has less to do with what you say and more to do with whether you have the AgTag next to your name. People are lazy.

These board have become especially bad the last few years..mainly since the move to the SEC.
Yes it's an A&M affiliated site but you should be able to have constructive conversations and opinions that are not all 100% blindly supporting A&M and everything associated with it.

Here lately if you don't have to dust off your knees for everything A&M and SEC releated you're gonna get called a sip.

Hell I've been on Texags since November 1999, closing in on 17,500 post, have an Agtag and my freaking username is Aggie .... but I get called a sip pretty regularly.
