Another great job guys.
Just my opinion, but I still think Kellen needs to get the ball out of his hands quicker, ie. the flat pass to Spiller may have been a score had he gotten it to him faster. But I'm glad Mond is keeping the defense honest by running more again. On defense, we gotta get more turnovers - strips, tipped balls by the D-line (get your hand up when you see him cocking to throw). Anyway, again Gabe and Stephen, great job.

I love watching this every week. Hopefully some of this stuff gets cleaned up as they get more experience.

why dont you go press that WR on the last play? You know you need time to get home on the blitz, why not go jam him on the line? Do that, ball drops and they kick

I wish someone would ask Jimbo how they coach how they coach our db on that last play? Why are we giving so much cushion on a cover zero blitz. Why does does our corner not have inside leverage? Just press the wr at the line and the safety gets home to the qb. playing soft never wins games.

2 plays in particular that I'm glad you covered.

1. Rogers unsportsmanlike! WTF was he thinking? We had just scored to make it a 14 pt game. Kicked off, forced a punt. Momentum is swinging our way. Then THAT BULLLLLLSSSHHHH!!!!!TTTTTT!

B. #22's inability to read and react! Horrible angle on the first TD. Then he completely whiffed on a play that should've never happened! Tua started to go to the flat, then stopped, then decided to go ahead and throw it out there and he was STILL late!

BOTTOM LINE, WE DO THIS CRAP TO OURSELVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stephen's final point about us already having played 15 true fish players harkens a mantra from Jackie Sherrill: for every true freshman you play in a season you can expect one loss in that season. Obviously, high school player development since the 80s has advanced by leaps & bounds and thus warrants an edit to that metric. Still, the underlying premise remains true: as talented as they are, a true freshman player is going to make mistakes. And too often, those mistakes will be on the order of Murphy's Law. Oh well, growing pains.

Regardless, this is fantastic insider detail from McGee. Much appreciated.

(And yeah, upper classmen are making mistakes, too. Too many, in fact.)
