I'm sure there's some of that, but I think it's also a lot of kids just missing the Top 10% / 8% rule for A&M and tu etc etc

I believe Ole Miss also has generous programs for former military, enabling their dependents to pay in state tuition or something.

I've read that Okie and Arkie state schools have similar enrollment "booms" due to the numbers of Texas kids who are good students in the 10-20% rank in their high school classes.

What difference does it make?

These poor unfortunate young ladies have picked up that they are only valued for the (transient) looks and nothing else. If they parade themselves, people give them attention. They are all going to end up as waitresses at some shady bar anyway (since their education is a joke). Some lucky ones get to be some rich guy's trophy wife, others will just waste away and become fat, hating all men for no longer paying them any attention.

I hope as hell my daughter doesn't end up this way. I don't think she would, as she's doing well in middle school, and we emphasize education and academic achievements.

If you don't think your daughter has an instagram account where she's posting selfies and pictures with her friends, she probably has 3 and is hiding them from you. This is normal behavior for young women in America today. You may not like that behavior, but it's a cultural norm and it does not make these women idiots or trophy wives or people who can only get jobs at "shady" bars.

Agreed, that is a really outdated mindset if you think you can interpret all of that from a few pictures on social media
