Greetings, I'm a 1982 Alabama graduate and have seen my Tide play on every SEC campus except aTm. Tomorrow I complete my SEC tour as I will be in attendance in Kyle Field. Planning to get to campus early to visit the GHWB Library (my 7th presdential library). Any other recommendations regarding campus sites that are a must see?

P.S., I'll be wearing my 2009 national championship cap commemorating our victory over that school you guys call tu. I thought you Aggies might appreciate this gesture.

If you are in Aggieland on Friday, get over to Kyle Field for Midnight Yell (at Midnight, in case that's not clear).

Dixie Chicken.

Bonfire Memorial.

You will find Aggies to be a most welcoming group. Walk through the tailgate areas before the game, you'll likely get invited in for some food and drinks. There will be good-natured banter.

Welcome, but I hope you don't enjoy the 3 hours from Kyle Field.

I'll be more generous. As long as you just don't enjoy the last 5 minutes and the walk out of Kyle I'm ok with the rest of the time you enjoy

Bonfire memorial for sure.

Be careful not wear your hat inside the MSC or step on the grass outside. You will likely get barked at if you do. Other than that, expect a lot of "howdys" and invites for food and beer.

Well, Iiving in Nashville TN, I suffered mightily during the late 90s through 2006 as Tennessee racked up 7 consecutive victories against Bama. We are now in the midst of a 12 game winning streak against that other UT.

Having just turned 60, I've seen the good and the bad & am enjoying this run. I NEVER thought we'd enjoy this much success under Coach Saban & am soaking it in as Iong as it lasts.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I am really looking forward to visiting your campus. Funny thing is, I flew down to Houston 31 years ago to visit a fraternity brother and attend the UA/aTm game at Kyle Field in 1988. Unfortunately our head coach (Bill Curry) refused to play the game due to a hurricane in the gulf & I never got to visit your campus. That fraternity brother (who still lives in Houston) has a son that is a freshman at Texas A&M. How's that for a story?

I was a student at A&M during that time. I still remember the pre-game show on ESPN that morning coming on and a shot of sunny Kyle Field, with some statement about how bright and sunny it was but there would be no game that day. I still believe Bama used the hurricane as an opportunity to not get their ass kicked (they had a number of players out for injury at the time who all conveniently were available when the game finally was played at the beginning of December).

You'll also want to watch the corps march in next to the Student center (you'll see everybody lined up). It will start at 1pm. Also, you'll want to stay in your seat at halftime to watch the band. Hope you have a great time yet come away with a L.

Just an FYI... Unfortunately, Bonfire Memorial is closed for renovation until Oct. 31. It's a shame that it's happening now when so many people may be making a once in a lifetime trip. Too bad it wasn't done in the off season.

Welcome to Aggieland ! Welcome to the largest Stadium in Texas and the SEC. Yes wear your hat and enjoy. The MSC aka Memorial Student Center has a great memorial area. Don't walk on the Grass near the MSC and take your hat off when you go in. It's a Memorial! This is one thing tu fans never understand. tu fans are the most arrogant fans in college football. All the Bama fan's I've met have been great people. Enjoy the Pre-game activities!

I'm sure everything has already been said, but I'll add one more.

Wear comfortable walking shoes. You get your steps in on our campus. And if you want to enjoy north gate at some point it's on the opposite end of campus as the field.
