And by the way, A&M did finish 6th in the final AP poll in 1985, 13th in the 1986 final AP poll, and 10th in the 1987 final AP poll-- I say that because you said that you weren't asking for a top 5 finish. The sky is not falling. It's already fallen this year. Just look at the lack of the team's preparedness, intensity, pride, understanding of basic football techniques, interest, and game intelligence. It's an embarrassment to a University of this caliber. Maybe this team could take a few lessons about "excellence" from our students who don't play football.

Fisher didn't have to face 5 top 1 teams in the same season at any point in his FSU tenure

Had we faced a Colorado instead of Clemson and ole miss instead of auburn, we'd be 4-0 and the team and fans would be feeling pretty good right now

Bottom line is these tough games are going to make this program better in the long run

After racing auburn and Clemson, I think our offense is going to find it much easier sledding against Arkansas and we will see a different looking A&M team on Saturday

By season's end, who knows, we may just be good enough to steal one from UGA or LSU

Anyone else surprised at how quickly Jimbo's post game schtick has gotten old already, especially after a loss?

I get it that he's not going to throw anyone under the bus or say too much to the media, but damn it's already gotten old to me.

I just hope what he tells the players is way more convincing and detailed than what he's telling us - and they're still buying in.

Best post in here... I was at the Clemson game, and while I realistically did not expect us to win, I at least expected us to put up a fight. Last year we played Clemson to the wire. That team left everything on the field, and I cannot imagine a more satisfying at home loss than that game. This year... we were never really in it. My wife and I kept hoping to see that fire... and it never happened.

I watched every second of that game against Auburn, and it's not the loss that disappointed me... it was the lack of real effort.

At the end of last year, I had no doubt that Jimbo had us heading in a positive direction. Now... I'm not so sure. You articulated that very well.
