seconded. He needs time to recruit. The Ags have one of the youngest teams in the SEC. I'm disgusted with how many people are ready to throw in the towel 4 games in to his 2nd year. With quite a few Sumlin players on O and D. Good god.

How long does it take??? I'm not saying they should be in the playoff. But Damn I assumed Jimbo is a better coach than Gus, and Auburns talent level isn't much better than the Ags. But they got outschemed and outcoached. It's gonna be a long season

People need to get off TexAgs (or the internet as a whole) when they're losing it. I completely understand losing your crap over this, but it's seriously easy as hell to just do it with another trustworthy friend IRL while staying off the internet.

I will not attack the people leaving early, however. I legitimately think they have the right to do so if they think they have better things to do aside from watching the game and don't deserve THAT much criticism for it. It's not like we were battling out till the end; the game was pretty much over before the end of 4th quarter.

As for the WRs, I actually think the WR corp did a pretty good job today. Obviously it would've helped a lot if they did a GREAT job, but it's not like our O-line, QB, and RBs were really doing much.

Also, while Mond wasn't the only problem in our offense yesterday, I now more firmly believe he really should NOT be our QB1 in the future. I seriously doubt the coaching staff are telling him to run less at this point (Jimbo's previous QBs ran pretty well in fact). Actually, I am now very curious as to why Jimbo didn't go for a JUCO QB at this point. This is what Bob Stoops did for Oklahoma when he became HC there. Maybe Jimbo really believed Mond was going to become better going into his second year. I would say more, but I think plenty of other people already said all the negative things to say about Mond, so I won't add any more of this to the pile.

Frankly, that is my only """"complaint"""" about Jimbo specifically. It's still year 2, so it's way too soon to call him off. As someone else here said, his new recruits (and the recruits he's going for right now) should come here and mature. Another football guru friend of mine said that the best time to actually determine whether Jimbo should be our guy or not would be 2 years later. Although I would say that next year should be good enough, I'm willing to wait out two more years and see what happens then.

Until then, I'm still all for Jimbo. And everyone that melted down faster than Chernobyl should seriously chill the hell out and relearn how to use the internet.

Sports chat boards reveal a lot that you probably wish you didn't know about people in general.

A significant part of the population simply cannot do any of the following:

- think objectively

- check their emotions enough to make a rational assessment

- control their anger enough to not throw destructive, slanderous tantrums when they don't get what they want

- really understand the nature of competition

- sympathize with the players and coaches on a team that they claim to love when failure comes

- exhibit any reasonable perspective regarding the importance of it all

The last item (lack of perspective) is why you get hysterical, caterwauling, keening, despairing rants ("we can't win", "there's a curse", "coaches forget how to coach when they come here", blah, blah, blah) bereft of all reason. Their authors are literally in despair because the football team is not winning.

That doesn't mean he is wrong.

I find it surprising how many of you forget how we're missing some major components due to injury on offense and YET we're ready to burn the program down over losing to No. 1 on the road and No. 8 at home 4 games into his second year. How about we pump the brakes for a half second.
