Yes. Lots of times. Through Sherman, Fran, Sumlin.

It was humiliating. For a fan base that prides itself on being the best in the world......watching a 1/3 full stadium from the time Auburn scored their last TD was tough to stomach. The vaunted 12th Man running out of the stands like their asses were on fire........

Eh... I think the fans deserve better don't you? I, for one, like what Jimbo is doing. I hate where we are in that process. Fans don't need to stay and watch vomit on the field. I stayed the whole game.

This thread 12/13 years ago would read exactly like this.

Has that ever happened to such a degree before?

The Myspace generation has no spine.

Players didn't show up to play, why should the fans stay.
To 1,000,000 touchdowns ...and beyond

It's never happened like this before.. The give up was real today.

Instant gratification generation is abundant and it's infecting middle age people as well.. The olds were the ones sticking it out today.

I'm 30 btw, so don't think I'm yelling at clouds.

I think you're answering your own question. Settle down young one. Trust us olds when we tell you it has happened many many times.

Well sure, everyone thinks they "deserve" better. I'm a good guy, I work my ass off during the week. I think I "deserve" a Spyder, a multimillion dollar mansion and a vacation home in Bora Bora.

That's not how this works.

The O line needs some serious shoring up. We'd all love to see Kellen play like JFF but that's just not gonna happen. I don't think even during the depths of Fran did I see a fan base bail on the team like I saw at 9 minutes left today. Especially the student side. The olds I kinda get. They've been fickle for years. But the exodus from the student side today was disheartening.

Show proof.. I've watched hundreds of games on television and have never seen a more dismal look of the stands on broadcast than I did today.

I'm old. But most of my games have been on person. So I might not be able to pull a game off the top of my head... But I saw it in person. Don't tell me you watch broadcast and you know better than what I see live.

As a student... I was the one in the stands calling the early leavers 2% ers. Even then it happened.

Goodness gracious that "Home of the 12th Man" sign is horrendous!!! When the hell are they gonna fix that? It went from being iconic to a total eyesore.

Name the time, the game.. then show pics if it's so apparent.

This might be hard for someone your age to understand, but people didn't used to walk around with cameras in the pockets 24/7. The fact that you're demanding pics for proof kind of lumps you in with the generation you're complaining about.

How can this programs fans pride themselves on being the "12th Man" and then file out today like that??

Maybe A&Ms lawyers should just let the Seahawks own the moniker outright.

PATHETIC... I don't care how you guys spin it.

Settle down Francis.

Look, I love Aggie lore as much as the next Ag. But at some point you have to realize that the stories have never been 100% representative of reality.

The 12th Man has always been comprised of college kids, and while A&M's are on average much more dedicated to their team than most, they're still college kids.

As long as there's beer to be drunk and girls to be chased, the stands aren't going to stay packed to the gills when the outcome isn't in question.

Meh, I've stuck around until the end of very many ****ty losses at Kyle.

Might as well beat the traffic every now and then. It was pretty warm and unpleasant today, no reason to torture myself to observe the team lose.

Agree with thread poster. In the past it was usually the west side which cleared before students. It was the opposite this game.

Those of you judging the stadium crowd while watching the game from the comfort of your air conditioned living rooms or sports bars can EAD. It was hot as balls out there yesterday. The concourse, cool zones and lines for beverages were jam packed as people tried to get any kind of relief. People may not have been in their seats but it doesn't mean they all left the stadium.

Most miserable game I've been to since we tied Baylor back in the 80's. Fans were appropriately supportive until the last AU TD.

I stayed until the bitter end. I don't blame anyone for leaving. Thru 3 qtrs I saw nothing to inspire any hope we would win.

Offense was putrid.
Defense was meh at best.
Special teams had a bad day.
Officiating sucked.

And 4 drunk kids "representing" A&M by being loud, obnoxious, and vulgar. It's idiots like those in the BSA shirts that ruin beer in the stadium for those of us that act like adults.

oh yeah, they got there late, and thankfully, left early.

Bull crap argument. It was not THAT hot. Was at Clemson a couple weeks ago, it was worse there than it was at Kyle yesterday. Didn't leave that one early either. Face it.......we've become just like sip fans. Hard to accept, but true. It's sad to see.

Can't wait to see what the excuse is in 3 weeks when it's 15-20 degrees cooler against Bama and the same thing happens again

I think this says a lot:

"Auburn is 4-0 after a surprisingly easy 28-20 victory at Texas A&M. The Tigers jumped out to a 21-3 lead and held off a late A&M comeback, as Texas A&M's run game disappeared into the teeth of Auburn's massive defensive line. Texas A&M ran for just 56 yards and Kellen Mond continued his uneven season by completing 31-of-49 passing attempts.

The backdrop of this contest was how freshman quarterback Bo Nix would handle his first truly hostile environment, as he debuted at a neutral site and then played in front of two home crowds. Nix was unfazed, as he completed 12-of-20 passes for 100 yards and ran for 38 more."

Part of the objective of the renovated stadium was to have an intimidating atmosphere. Auburn had no false starts and a freshman QB in his 4th start had no interceptions or fumbles and was able to guide them to victory.

Auburn plays in big time stadiums every year. Playing in Kyle isn't going to phase them when they go to Georgia and Alabama regularly.

Don't fool yourself into believing that Aggie fans are some magical unicorn that yell and squeeze and stay til 00:00 out of love and devotion for the grand old team, rah rah rah. Wake up buddy. Yes, we have history. Yes, we have traditions. But we are just like ANY other fan base. Win and I'm there. Look like shat and bye.

This ain't them fans that stay, Bc this team ain't them boys that fight.

So.. instead of addressing what should be an obvious flaw in the fanbase, you guys try to gotcha with me on here instead. Like "It totally happened before, but I can't name the game and we didn't have pics then"

Just admit it.. the whole 12th Man schtick is fake news if they can't stick around until the end... but hey.. you showed me on TexAgs.

No I think you're right. Collectivism is a ***** and they'll get very defensive the moment you mention an idea outside the groupthink.

This fan base is tired of losing. Can you blame folks?

We've had one 10 win season in the last 20 years.

Let that sink in.
