Think about some of these things:

1. Most coaches take 3-4 years to turn around a program. We were expected to win 6-7 games by all prognostications last year and won 8 + bowl. This year they all said 7-5 or 8-4. We still that have available to us.

2. Starting TE, a key part of Jimbo's offense, out for year. No TE play

3. Starting RB out for year. No RB play

4. Lots of injuries in Clemson and Auburn games. We have no depth yet.

5. We just faced two top five defenses. We will look better. The only other defense this good the rest of the year is Georgia.

6. Both lines lost a lot of experience last year. They are still developing

That being said, I thought we'd be a little more competent on offense. Lots of penalties. I don't understand the QB read play 7 yards behind the line against an elite Front 7. Doesn't make sense. Jimbo needs to let Mond just play his game. You can tell it's in his head.

So next year eh?

No, not next year. But every person with half a football mind knew 8 wins was and is our ceiling this year. Jimbo is the guy if we give him the 4 years to build the culture. Our culture is a lap behind the elite and no coach can do it in 2 years.

I'm sorry but all 3 of those teams were perennial 10+ game winners most seasons the decade before. These guys just came in and ran the same system.

Jimbo changed the entire system.

My friend compared that momemtn when JFF rallied the team during the duke game to the moment today when we saw Mond show some intensity. That's what Mond needed to do disagree if you want

You are 100% right. If Mond could just be JFF, we wouldn't be having these problems.

Yep. Sometimes it ain't all coaching. It's just players stepping up and getting it done.

Going in to the season it was thought next year!
This year's schedule is brutal.

Then you saw threads about Heisman, NC, etc!
The kool aide was spiked this year!
