Most of those 9 came in after an announcement video was seen and then it was learned there are alternate endings because he is still torn. Not sure how anyone can really be confident in how this will go tomorrow, I would not be surprised in the least whichever way this goes tomorrow. I do think, more than just about any other player, a flip later would not be shocking. This won't really matter until November with whomever he picks tomorrow having an edge in holding on to him.

Every time we get into a H2H with t.u., the recruit in question becomes the most important indicator of our program's success. May I offer some perspective?

Allow me to get this out of my system. Below is a loosely connected set of sentences and phrases that are my general response to recruiting drama.
Here's the truth. Jimbo and company pitch what they want from the player, what their game plan is for the player, and what the team is going to do with or without them. Some recruits hear that, and it works for them. Other recruits don't like that and don't think A&M is a good fit for them. That's fine. Maybe it's true and we dodged a bullet on a guy who wouldn't fit in.
If the guy goes on to be great at Texas, that doesn't mean he would have been great at A&M. It's mostly about fit.
If the kid gets it right and he goes on to be successful, wherever that may be, then congratulations are in order, not smack talk and name calling.
Some kids just want to be at Texas (facts and trends be damned). They've done a great job at marketing and developing connections across the state.

As much as we all hate to admit it, tu is on a roll. Win one of either LSU or OU and they will be in playoff discussion. And probably in it. If you're a recruit, that looks pretty good to you.

Even if we lose Alford, we still are sitting very pretty with a guy who is very similar in Antonio Johnson. So before people knee-jerk if Alford picks the sips, remember Jimbo will still get his guy at this position.

I don't see any shame in realizing that the sips are ahead of us right now, and should expect to have a better recruiting class than we do. They made a laughing stock of the SEC just a few months ago, have only one team between them and the playoff, have great facilities in an exciting town, are a "blue blood" program, the coach is starting his third year, and JUST LOVES his players.
