Looch on twitter saying it's a long shot that we keep Woodward. Says A&M dropped the ball.

A guy like Jimbo wants to be THE legend at a school He couldn't be that at FSU. LSU? They've won multiple NCs and no they don't have a huge legend ( I don't think) but Saban and Miles both coached there.
We have no legend. Nothing close. He does here what we (and he) wants, and he's up there with all the other legends, with the attendant statues and honors.
I guess we'll find out if that's his motivation or not.

Jimbo gone if woodward leaves IMHO. We need to do everything we can to keep woodward. Get rid of sharp if he's the problem. Pay him more if he wants more.
Sure Jimbo and Woodward have a great relationship but Jimbo has been given the keys to the kingdom here. If we make the right hire at AD I think it's far from a forgone conclusion that he leaves.
Jimbo never once said he came here because of money. Thats really the only thing we can offer him that LSU doesnt have.
He came here because of woodward, and the recruiting. Both of which he could keep by following woodward.
Cannot believe there is not a friend of a BMA who has already been told of the details on this not postingFriscoKid said:I'd really like to know details on this.Jbob04 said:

History disagrees with you on our ceiling vs LSU's
Y'all are both idiots in regards to jets and Houston from either BR or CS vs car from CS. Either way opne would need a car to get from hobby to the medical center or IAH to the medical center and both are nightmares to navigate. A car from CS to the medical center is faster that a jet to Houston followed by a car to the medical center. Even if they were to use Ellington Field, or any of a number of small airfields in the area.O'Doyle Rules said:AustinCountyAg said:A jet from Baton Rouge to Houston is faster than a car from CS to Houstontrueaggie2782 said:ZachAg said:
hypothetical situation here:
IF Woodward leaves us and takes off for LSU, sure Jimbo has no buyout
However, the main problem I see is that Jimbo has literally all the supporting staff
that he wants with virtually limitless resources. Additionally what are the chances
that LSU could fire Ed O and still manage to make an offer that comes even close
to the offer he has here?
All in all I think we are putting the cart waaaay before the horse
This. Plus the close proximity to Houston for his son's treatments. IIRC, that was another main factor in choosing A&M.
A jet from CS to houston is faster than a jet from BR to houston
It's okay, Woodward just didn't "get" A&M and didn't have the right church buddieshunter2012 said:Jbob04 said:

IDK who dropped the ball but they should be fired. We might have the best AD in the country and just the fact that we might lose him to incompetence is unacceptable. I hope the BMAs are paying attention and can rally the department into keeping him, otherwise it's just pathetic.
Hell I dunno if it's true or not, it's just how I felt about the guy. He motivates the hell out of people and seems like a man who shoots for the moon and doesn't settle for less.EastSideAg2002 said:Rummage through the trash for Easter basketschevy con queso said:I've always thought this was part of why Fisher came here. You're kidding yourself if you think Jimbo isn't just here for the money, but the good news is that there's no way LSU is going to guarantee him more money than we've already guaranteed him.
