He said the kid is the best he has seen in a long time. My coach has been in the game at all levels for a long time. He said this kid is legit and a once in a 25 year type kid. He said the PNG kid going to Texas is really good but the Hornsby kid is special and is a better passer, faster, and as good or better runner. Hope we land this kid!

I was a College Football Recruiting Coordinator / with 3 Cotton Bowls / and I saw these two 'kids' last Friday night play each other... and, this fellow's coaching friend is 'Right On' about Hornsby!!! Ft. Bend Marshall HS plays Huntsville HS this week - no need to be skeptical from your warm house, go see him for yourself... YOU will probably be able to leave at halftime like I did!!! <An Aggie Must>

He was a heavy A&M lean a couple of months ago but I can see Saban chiming in with, "You''re up after Tua. You'll get your NC or NCs and be making millions in the league in no time. Sign here."
Not to be ugly, but I said the same thing about Garrett Gilbert. We never really know if a QB can play at the next level until he gets on the field.

i agree that sometimes it may not work out. But Gilbert was more of a pocket passer. And to be honest he did not get developed at texas very well. Hornsby is a fast dual-threat QB who throws like a pocket passer. No such thing as an absolute sure thing. But a lot of guys who have been around football for a lot of years say the same thing about him. And what they say is "He is special. Like i haven't seen in years!"Agsuffering@bulaw said:
